Here's a new one - "lump and run"

1 in 3 passes yeaterday were long balls. Agree second half was defensive and to see the game out and first half was better but we were wasteful, resorting to long balls too often and we have played much better.

Usually we don't play like that and play attractive football.

Yesterday was, I think the first time we have actually used the long ball but it bloody worked … horses for course and that!!! Btw what a move and finish from McBurnie. he wanted it more than the defender. He will prove to be a brilliant signing! Trust Wilder coz I do!

Weve always been able to mix it up but before mcburnies upturn in form we couldn't really do it as effectively as last season when Madine allowed us to bypass the high press
Its simple tactics ,the best way to.stop us playing is to press us high and with numbers but if we can cut that out we can tactically overwhelm the opposition by isolating their centre backs

You must have seen a totally different game to me. I thought we played very well, first half especially. I thought our passing and movement was good and at times, sublime. Overall we were not at the levels that we have been, but to describe that performance yesterday as "awful on the eye" - I'm gobsmacked tbh. If you think this is awful on the eye then I'd really pack in supporting Sheffield United mate, I really would. Because you obviously want something more from a football team than this, or any other club, can offer I'd say.
Even the way we defend is a thing of absolute beauty.

Hence why i said the long ball was effective. As per CW post match interview 'we did a job on them' 'we were wasteful in possession 'and 'we should of been better'!

He said ‘should of’ did he? What a semi-literate manager he is, our Tufty. You tell him it’s ‘have’. Fucking ‘have’. Effective use of language, as opposed to nonsense.
