Chorus of half hearted boos yesterday, just don't get why he deserved such a reception. Talking of receptions, surprised to see Kenny at the 125 celebrations, who invited him ?.

Never understood the flack Henderson got. He scored goals. Got stuck in.

Yesterday, our fans were whinging every time he tussled for the ball yet when he was at SUFC,our fans whinged that we didnt get a free kick for exactly the same tussles.

I thought Hendo played very well yesterday. Won loads in the air and fought for everything. McCarthy and McEverley knew they had played a hard game yesterday.

Feel the same way Matt, but thought he was quite poor yesterday to be honest.

Supposed you missed the three kicks/stabs/retaliation that he did during the game.

Did all he did for us - just a big, useless, intimidating piece of nothing - £2M wasted - that's to KB

Didn't boo, as I don't any player - but still a nasty piece of work is Henderson.

He is a twat he spent more time giving away fouls and getting into arguments with the ref.

When he wasn't pissing about with defenders and refs then sometimes he would score a goal.

Well said that Man - he's a useless git and for all the fans that didn't ever see Billy Whitehurst - a mere patch on the master craftsman of the dark arts.

Henderson was a waste of space for £2m plus big wages
Either on the treatment table or suspended what a waste of money, thought he was at best average yesterday

Although I knew he was playing, didn't actually notice him till the second half.

I will always remember him for scoring at Bristol city just after they had equalised in the last few seconds of injury time.
Was probably straight from the kick-off with the city fans still cheering their equaliser and thinking they'd knicked a point.
Blades fans dancing around the advertising hoardings near the corner flag as close to the pitch as you could get. City fans must have been gutted.
All in all tho a headless carthorse.

When he wasn't injured or suspended he spent too much time arguing for a free kick and didn't really rough up centre halves as you'd expect for a supposed big rough and tough lad.

We paid too much money and wages on him for the amount of goals he scored, yet another reason we are where we are today

He throws a great elbow, quite good at two footed challenges and constantly gives away fouls backing in, holding etc.

If only he had concentrated on playing football, he'd have been a better player.

Shame really but not my type of player.

It was a very rare occasion that Henderson would actually take his eyes off the defender he was wrestling with and actually try to win a ball. For a big man, he rarely won a header for us because he always had his back to the ball.

Yesterday he was just as I remember him. Poor. On the few occasions their 'keeper's kicks found the big lump instead of the stand, Hendo would mis-control it straight out of play anyway.

I always liked Hendo generally, great touch for a big bloke and remember him giving Morgs a torrid afternoon at Watford, only time I saw CM whinge to ref for protection.
However, he was shite yesterday and gave the Macs a relatively easy afternoon.

Epitomised everything that was "wrong" with UTD during his 3 yr stint.

The fact that he has in the main enjoyed a lucrative career as a football pro also tells you where we have been going wrong at National level

A million quid a year or as near as makes no difference and genuinely couldn't trap a bag of cement.

You'll be telling me next, you've seen Sunday league players better than him :-)

Henderson was really poor yesterday. He was just grabbing and tussling and rarely going for the ball. His touch when it came to him was awful. He looked a player that is about done for me. Reminded me of Cresswell a few years ago.

I was actually disappointed to see him subbed up till then any Orient move was just hoof in his direction, little wonder they are so poor this season.

He let the blades down during his time with us, he spent more time injured or suspended than on the pitch.

Hendo tended to score goals in bunches and had some purple patches, but he also had runs of games where he looked awful - and of course half of the time he was either injured or suspended, often at crucial times (eg 2009 playoff final, most of 2011).

the first thing that comes to my mind when his name comes up is his miss against Middlesbrough in the game that effectively saw us relegated. He should be ashamed of his performances that season when he finally got fit, but he's by no means the only one.

Interesting comments but overall feeling he was not really liked by the red and white faithful, some his fault (disciplinary record) some not, injuries. Personally I liked the bloke and agree with Sitwell, he always seemed to have nice things to say about us, even applauded all 4 stands when he went off yesterday. Was poor though during Saturdays game.

We needed him badly when he returned from injury in 2011, we were away at Watford and he badly let us down by getting sent off in the first half with a needless and late challenge. At the time I thought it was idiotic, and walking away from Vicage Road I thought that was the day we essentially got relegated. We had to shift Hulse on to make room for him - for me a poor move overall.

Not me. Never once appealed for a foul on him when he played for us. Every (and I do mean EVERY) time a ball is launched in his direction, his first move is to foul the bloke who's marking him. By the time the ball arrives there is probably a tussle going on an he may get a free kick but he's already done his fouling first. That's fine until the moment the ref susses it out, at which point every decision goes against him and a yellow is inevitable (and often a red).
I'll never forget watching him rough Morgan up at Gillingham on a long Sunday afternoon which ended with Morgan seeing red (both the card and metaphorically).

Not my kind of player, never enjoyed watching him and, pound for pound, the biggest waste of money in my time watching United and a proper indictment of my least favourite manager as well.
He is on course to give me some fun choosing a suitable user name for my mate Houso though.
