Indeed we do, and to play devils advocate - is Hendo good enough. No one knows.

I'd try for Jack Butland at Stoke - they fucked him up last summer and possibly Hendo on another loan from Man U.

Etheridge from Cardiff would be a decent shout. Just turned 29 and has had a good season by all accounts and will win their Player of the Season award according to the welsh press.

Yes, can agree with that - posted similar a few weeks ago.

Our defensive back 3 have been magnificent most of the season, but they would be over worked if we went up, so a quality GK is a necessity.

Is Hendo good enough? no one knows - but there are a number around that we know are good enough.

If promotion is sealed, then sorting this issue out quickly is needed.

Kind of straddling this thread and the other about what we should do if we went up, the big decision is do you look at the previous 12 months and keeping what we've got, utilising momentum & team spirit or are you ruthless? It's a tricky one.

It's a difficult call. Norwich look as though they will walk the league and have a number of previously unknown players that could do well next season. We are good, but I believe we have hung on in a few games recently. Out budget has meant we have done brilliantly, but can some of our players step up again. Not convinced some can - we are getting the maximum out of some of them.

Not convinced momentum would work - we need some more gems aka McGoldrick/Crainie.

To be fair, the reason we are in this position is that CW & the others brought in Hendo/Egan/Norwood & McG, coupled with what we had has made us what we are. They just need to repeat it. There are plenty to chose from and I am sure who they would prefer has already been decided.

Funnily enough around sixty minutes ago there was incredible rainfall, hail, thunder and lightning. They stopped the boat taxi and we've had to walk back. This has Macron written all over it, the dwarf twat.

How the fuck have you managed that on what I pay you......

It would be preferable to sign a keeper on a permanent, but we don't need to.

I'm sure most, probabaly including Wilder, would be happy with Henderson returning on loan again next season.
We don’t need to but there are restrictions on the number of loans we can use and I’d rather we had a keeper on a permanent so we could bring in outfield players on loan. We’d need pace and quality up front and I don’t think we’d be in a position to sign that type of player permanently in our first season up.

Henderson on another loan. Experienced solid pro on a permanent, preferably a free agent if one is available. Sell Moore and loan out Eastwood. Sorted.

A very good point. Safe hands are cheaper than pace it would seem.

Maybe we could get Hendo on a permanent with a buy back clause? It’s not worth getting too concerned about at the moment, we’re still in the championship but it’s possibly an option.

Another good shout. Buy backs are so rare in Britain that I hadn't even considered the possibility.

I'm not sure how receptive Man Utd would be to the idea, but you could argue it would be good for all parties: it certainly works for Barca and Real Madrid.

Sat outside a bar in France looking at brochures for apartments while Lady Thornton is shopping. Oh and having my leg lifted at 8€ a pint. It's like I'm taking all the blame for Brexit as they've already burned my lambswool jumper......

From Premierleague.com

“Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time. - The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time”

Wouldn’t it make sense therefore to take very expensive prospects on loan and the cheaper guys (inc a keeper) permanently?

So buy Hendo and get a £50m striker on loan? ;)
