He put a few good crosses in and worked well with the team, but £2million people keep mentioning, i dont think he's worth it. Times he's neshed out of challenges, gone missing in games leaving the full back under fire are numerous, and too many to be rated at £2million.
BUT... he's young, gifted and improved as the season went on. By no means was he the finished article but I don't think £2m is a ridiculous figure for him. Like others have said though, the fee is only part of the story.

as you said TA, the fee nowadays is far from being what the total cost is. And as with the thoughts of browny, they are inevitably on prem wages, which although at wigan wont be huge, they will quite possibly be more than what our structure can accommodate

Can you all bloody shut up whinging now :D

Undisclosed so you don't know what they paid.

I was only a week and 2 days early

I don't doubt that he was very good when at West Brom, and more so at Norwich, but he's a player solely living on past glories. Maybe he'll surprise me next season, but I would say that Henderson is a much lower risk investment than him.

Earnshaw - 5 games - 4 goals
Henderson - 5 games - 1 goal

Still early days though

True, true. We'll see how it pans out as the season goes on.

Although I still say that given their respective records last season, Henderson was a lower risk.

The stats don't lie! :) But those stats don't highlight what else Henderson has brought to the team.

Also, it doesn't really disprove matth's point. He was the lower risk investment!

More fouls maybe? haha. Only jesting.

As I say, stats can tell whatever story you want.

Hwenderson for me hasn't yet done much for us. However I do believe he will.

not done much only helped us through the next round of the cup :)

Still happy with this one Matt?

Earnshaw 11 goals from 21 starts and 4 sub appearances.....

Henderson 4 goals from 14 starts and 7 sub appearances.....

Not really, no. You have been right on the results. I still maintain - as I did before - that Relish was less of a risk than Earnshaw though.
