I thought exactly the same. He also didn’t need to rush it. He was under zero pressure. He could have controlled it and either passed it to McGoldrick or took his time and made sure he hit the target.

No one doubted him people just said he wasn't on form. When he is on form he is class.

I think it is. The other day when 2 defenders came at him from either side, he managed to to squeeze through the gap quite easily.

It’s not a question of silencing doubters, as though the doubt hasn’t been justified. It has. He’s a very good player. He played much better yesterday, though the shooting was as per usual and he still wasn’t back to last season levels. Delighted to see it.

Anyone who doesn’t think he’s been poor for most of this season hasn’t been watching the games.
