first thread just to say hello, looking forward to what promises to be a very interesting season with, i'm sure, many twists to come.
i have been going to the lane since 1979 when my step father became company secretary and it appears it is something you cannot walk away from, once a blade always a blade eh ?
i have two sons, the eldest has lived in dubai for 5 years and works closely with man city, inter milan, real madrid and many other top clubs who use both dubai and abu dhabi for warm weather training. he builds and maintains football pitches. he has just got the contract to look after maradonas new outfit.
my other son is serving in the army and is currently in canada.
both sons have played at the lane and are forever flying the bllades flag abroad whilst proudly wearing the famous red and white stripes.

heyup sleaford...................

I think Maradona's gone to Al Wasl and if that's right, their club is just up the road, literally walking distance, from the hotel that I stay in when I'm passing through Dubai (as you do), Arabian Park, Jadaf. I've never been to a game there, as there's never been one to watch, but I would and now I'll take a close interest in the pitch.

Welcome to the forum :)
