Hector

Old fashioned head it and kick it type. How he is on Chelsea’s books is beyond me. Surely they knew when he signed his last contract that he’s never a PL player. Or did they give him a ten year contract or something, just in case?

Still can't believe this tit got man of the match... Its like giving Ferdinand a pay rise for missing his drugs test

Ha ha. Owls fans say that Madine was constantly simulating, Blades fans say that Hector's a dirty so-and-so. Opinions, opinions. Should Utd have had a penalty? It looked it from where I was, but Hector did well overall I thought. He played Madine the only way you can really, and a performance which had Bruce's fingerprints all over it.

Hector can defend but someone needs to tell
Him to put boots on the right feet

I'm not sure how much he 'sussed' Madine out. His main tactic seemed to be to commit the foul every time the ball went near Madine in an attempt to stop our play developing. It worked I suppose but it doesn't take a genius, or a particularly good player, to carry out that sort of play.

Also, every time he played the ball forwards it went out of play. Not exactly a man of the match performance but I suppose it's not like there were many others to choose from.

Here’s an idea.

When faced with a one dimensional, technically inept CB, play directly to his singular footballing strength !!!

You couldn’t make it up ;).

UTB

How could he commit so many fouls, yet their lot dropped to the floor and got free kicks all over which looked like their main plan to hit it high to Fletcher (I have to admit is good in the air) causing us no end of problems, very weak ref.

OTB you could have a point with LUFC connections

We should have played Achilles.

If you compare these athletic youngens they have brought in compared to what they showed up to our place with then you can sort of see why they are happy with them as they are an improvement..

Would i have them in our side judging on the only time ive seen them was last night? Nah

The ref was shite. Considering how many times the ref blew the whistle for a foul and all the subs made I couldn’t believe there was only 2 minutes of injury time, not that we’d have scored if he added any more on. :)

We made Hector look better than he is by constantly booting the ball in the proximity of his big bonce. I can’t for the life of me understand why we use the long ball tactic when we look fucking shite every time we do it. Madine can play a bit so we need to use his feet a bit more and get the ball on the fucking floor and play to our strengths. Glad I got that off my chest. :)

I think Hector wouldn't have got MoM had the pen being given, which it should. My Wednesday mate sais it was soft, but had it been the other way round I know he'd have said it was a pen! It would have been a totally different game had we scored from that.

Madine and Billy didn't get much service on Monday night, it was never going to be that type of game.
