Amen. "Everyone's got their part to play"👍 It shouldn't be that hard for 25k+ fans to create a positive atmosphere (ideally for 90 minutes) that encourages the team.

Join in songs even if they're starting in a different stand.

And next time some tosser shouts something negative at the pitch, cast a glance in their direction as you encouragingly shout COME ON BLADES, or similar.

Too much like hard work for some to get behind the team and how dare he tell fans that they should help the team by supporting them. They do what they want you know.

Hopefully the vast majority see common sense tomorrow and play their part in cheering the team on by providing an atmosphere conducive to being helpful to the players.

C'mon Blades.

It's a big issue. Chip Butty Song sung and sit back and wait to be entertained. That often happens and we start brightly,on the front foot and posing a threat. Often leads to a goal and then the mysterious 20 minute alarm sounds soundlessly and things change. The crowd are used to it. At this point it would be great if the crowd could get really noisy and try and drive the team on to maintain levels and control of the game. There are enough very experienced pros in that side who should step up and it wouldn't hurt for the management team to look to uplift and drive on.
Lots of factors involved and totally agree the fans have a part to play. It does need all parties to buy in though. Be interesting to see if The Managers words are taken on board and the vocal backing is much more constant. Be great if so.

Is he banned from the touchline for his sending off yet? Maybe he can become like one of those continental type cheerleading fans with a megaphone not watching the game whatsoever

Rather be away this weekend, home crowd expectation will be palpable

If I did that, I would never see the game, and would get a bad neck, from continually glancing behind me, at the bloke over in F block, upper, who spends the whole game shouting, "wake up united", "be quicker United", "fuck off Sander, Hecky, get him fucked off", etc.

He is the bloke who (when Coutts was playing great) would shout "fuck off Coutts", in a really angry voice.

Or let's say Bogle makes a run, gets past a few of their players, makes it to the edge of the box, but loses the ball, he will shout "fuck off Bogle, not good enough", while everyone else is clapping.

About 10 rows in front of him is another Tourette's challenged bloke, who thankfully aims the same stuff at the Ref, and not our players. But with the quality of the refs we have seen this season, he spends about five minutes at half time, as the Ref and the Lino's are walking off, screaming "you c**t!, you absolute fuckin c**t!, you big fuckin c**t!"

TBF sometimes a bit of "wake up United" might be a good shout...!

But otherwise he sounds like a moron. Someone's gotta teach a moron how to behave...

Hecky isn't wrong, when the lane is loud, it's loud and intimidating.
There's a reason that we normally get voted for best atmosphere's in whichever league we are in.

Must say overall we won't this season, but I still don't think it's as bad as some suggest.

Our fans annoyingly often seem to wait for something to happen first before cheering. Unless it's a big game.

Or if the opposition or ref start being bonkers usually riles them up too.

Get Hecky walking around stadium with a bag of balls... Ramming them into the stomachs of anyone shouting negative shit, like they're Djed Spence.

I love a bit of community singing, but the atmosphere in a football stadium has always been in my opinion a reciprocal thing, and Bramall Lane is no different to anywhere else. Whether we like it or not crowd noise is usually governed by what’s happening on the pitch.
So many media types always wax lyrical about the “amazing” atmospheres at place like Anfield, St James’s and errr Bellend Road. This maybe true…When they’re winning games!
If they’re playing shite, they can be the most toxic places on earth.
Personally, I sit in the BL corner and I’m always impressed how G&H manage to consistently out sing away crowds.
Also, speaking to many visiting supporters, they are always quite envious of the atmosphere we can create inside Bramall Lane.

Silly old bint was once holding court in the hotel lift at Carrow Road. I couldn't get back to my room as they'd locked the stairs too during the game.

So went to the players entrance to see if Morgs had battered Hendrie.

Didn't see the latter but Morgs looked like Tevez, Angel, and McCulloch were all on the bus too the way he got on 😁
