Leicester game was ‘great’. Included the boys who needed the games. 'Arranged some time ago'. Seems some good planning going on.

He seems happy with how the week has gone, even though there were challenges with the weather. ‘got what we needed to out of it’

Robinson, Doyle, Jebbinson all have been training with the 1st team for ‘a week or so’

Fleck is ‘still sore’. Going to have another opinion on it to see if any intervention is required (alcoholic leg?). Seems he could play from a mobility and fitness point of view but any contact on it is causing him to 'suffer'.

Hecky has been keeping close eyes on the McBurnie trial. Hopefully via official sources and not via today’s S2 forum commentary

Says they are always looking for new signing options, not just looking during transfer windows, but the priority is to 'keep the squad together'.

When asked about challenges introducing people into the match day 11 with so many at different levels of readiness to play. Body language looked like he was a lot more happy with things and that it is a good problem. Says he is going to ‘be leaving lots of good players out of the squad’ and ‘it’s not a reflection on them’ as he needs to get teh others up to fitness levels etc to ‘eventually get the group back together’. There are going to lots of different 11’s and different substitutions whilst everyone gets back, with the challenge being to manage the balance”.

Re Billy back scoring. ‘We put him on the team to score, but his role is much more than that’ and Hecky says he hasn’t had as many scoring chances this season, even when on the pitch.

Re Wigan. ‘Got to produce something to win the game’. Agrees they’re an unknown quantity now. Says Kolo would have preferred to have gone in at the start of the break and had more time but has had 9 days or so to change approach and personnel, but ‘for us then the simplest and most effective way is to focus on us’

He seems to subscribe to the ‘new manager bounce’ because a change puts everyone on edge and the focus across everybody at the club is there, ‘so it’s our job to make sure the result doesn’t follow’

It's been introduced as it's both difficult and embarressing to keep saying "Listen" with a slurpy sweet in ones gob. True story.
