Doesn't sound overly optimistic but more than anything it's all playing out above his head.

Some Notes. Not a lot was said, materially ...
He started off by confirming we are still under embargo and he didn’t give a specific answer as to when the bill will be paid and the embargo will be over. No clarity on whether there will or won’t be any incoming transfers after the embargo is lifted.
There has been interest in Sander and Iliman, but no bids. No assurances have been given by the club that players won’t be sold, but Hecky wants everyone to stay, even more so given the embargo (inability to bring in replacement players).
He doesn’t necessarily feel that being in an embargo damages our reputation in the transfer marketplace. i.e. would teams be happy to sell us players if they may not get paid
Re Wrexham, there will be 'one or two changes'. ‘We have players who need the minutes because they are coming back from injury, possibly need minutes in a different position to help us in the run in’. ‘If we are embargoed, this is what we’ve got’. So whilst we ’will set up to win the game’, we will ‘make changes that benefit us going forward’.
He also emphasised that ‘we want to win’ this FA Cup game, ‘we will field a team to win’ it, but we are also ‘preparing for the remaining league games’, starting with Rotherham. I usually try to keep these notes factual and not offer opinions, but he is either preparing us fans for a lot of changes to the starting 11, or he’s just throwing smoke around to keep Wrexham guessing. Listening to the Adam Davies interview, it seems our Welshy is starting on Sunday. Hopefully in goal and he's not one of those 'playing in a different position' changes Hecky mentioned. Davies hat trick?
One thing I've thought for some time is that the home team has a potential advantage when it comes to a game where sweeping changes may or may not be made. They see the away team bus arrive before the teams are announced, so they see who doesn't get off the bus. If Ili and Sander don't get off the bus, the opposition manager can adjust his starting 11 accordingly. Anyways UTB!

I reckon Hecky will be furious about the embargo and rightly so. I think we always knew when he was appointed that the club had appointed someone on the basis that he wouldn't make waves, would make do with whatever budget he was given or situation he was faced with. I hope our board don't push their luck too much, otherwise we could see a Spackman style resignation. He shouldn't really have to be answering for the chairman's/boards decisions for which he's obviously got no influence.
Perhaps we'll see another manager paid off to ensure they keep quiet.

Our owner may no longer give a shit about the well-being of the club, but he surely has at least a corporate duty to direct one of the above to appear before the media and answer questions.
Pisspoor that Hecky is having to field all this, on top of everything else he has to deal with. He deserves a medal.

Yeah - the lack of communication from the club is poor. I understand there may be little more to say given the situation, but silence is somehow worse
