Hecky’s Stats

Has taken the club up. So what no good.

Well done Hecky, an awful lot of doubters out there at first but slowly he just got on with it. Sometimes it was poor but fair play to him and the players, results kept coming. Stats will take a hammering for sure next season. Mind you, Brentford were nailed on to get smashed every week....

Is there a more underrated manager in the league?
When you think of the total package of the manager’s job - publicly fronting the club through a financial debacle, an embargo, a takeover saga; shuffling the squad and the youth players to manage a ridiculous injury crisis; picking players back up with long term injuries; being tasked with also bringing youth players through and adding value to them; leading a coaching team who don’t know whether any new owner might just have a clear out; handling players who are told to pack a bag in case they’re sold on deadline day (then told they’re staying); dealing with fans’ expectations and fickleness (and also the removal of a big chunk of noise-making supporters due to ‘safety concerns’) …
And all the time working tirelessly to get it right in training and on the pitch consistently match after match.
I think almost every other club and their fans would look at the championship and point to carrick or Kompany instead of Hecky as a brilliant manager. Which I think does the man a big disservice as he deserves to be rated more highly for the whole job he’s done in the last two seasons.

It's an amazing achievement simply because nobody thought it could happen. All the talk about Kompany (justified) and Carrick (bit less so), and our lad from Dodworth has cracked it!! Tonight was great just because it just happened, no "bells and whistles", just a bloody good manager and a very special team.
Having a very large whisky in a very understated Hecky way.
Up the fucking mighty Blades!!! ⚔⚔⚔

Only have to look at West Brom to see what a job he's done. They came down the same time as us, haven't had half the off field drama to deal with and looked more likely to go down than up this season. Not easy for a relegated club to bounce back as we've proved many times in the past.

I'm expecting a season like our first season with Wilder. The crowds in lifting the players again and 6 or 7 more experienced players this time
More international players and a manager who just keeps getting better as the dominant run in results show.

Exactly. They have had trouble regarding the chairman, who they are campaigning against, 'put on hold til play off push is over', and he owes millions in unpaid loans etc. Outstanding achievement by Heckingbottom.

Only second on goals? Useless twat!
Whats Hecky ever done for us ? ..... well he got us to a play off semi final .. Yes but apart from that ? Well he got us to a FA cup semi final... Yes but apart from that ... well he got us promotion to the premier league !
