Have you ever almost been killed by a Sheffield United player?

As a child, after a visit to Bramall Lane, I was walking through Bramall Lane carpark not paying much attention. A car pulls out, and the driver has to slam his brakes to avoid hitting me. I look up and see a slightly shaken/annoyed Joe Bolton in the driver's seat. I decided it wasn't the right moment to ask for an autograph.
(awaits responses of 'cool story bro')

I blame your parents - they should have taught you road safety awareness.;)

I was once sat next to Leigertwood's brother away at Watford and I was telling my mate how shit Leigertwood was. His brother wanted to kill me I think.

leaving a game at the lane a few weeks ago I was crossing Cherry street as Tony Currie roared out of the car park towards Shoreham street obviously in a rush , He was driving may I add .

Once had a game of darts with derick one eye Richardson in the mill halfway how dangerous was that

I can confirm that ,played against him when he played for Brunsmeer ,he played up front first half and was shit ,played in net second half and was one of the best keepers Ive ever seen. Really nice bloke in the pub after as was Sterland. Waddle was a full weight 'look at me' bell end.

Oh come on.
Next you’ll be saying that Smegson isn’t the most odious twat that has ever existed.

Back in the early '80's I played for Crosspool Tavern, unfortunately at the time a lot of Wendy players used to drink there, & in the summertime we used to have games on the pitch opposite, with one team taking shirts off for easy identification. Megson always insisted on being on the shirts team, & anytime anyone went anywhere near him he would either pinch the players nipples really hard, or scratch them across the back, chest or anywhere he could reach. Girly twat.

Simon Tracey once nearly ran me over as a kid then went mental at me for stepping in front of his car. He was probably right to be fair.

I'll second that. A lot of the Wednesday players around that time used to drink in our pub and, compared with Waddle, Palmer and the other 'big shots', I remember that David Hirst and Chris Woods were both quite likeable (apart from being pigs, obviously).

In a Norton League cricket match between Sheffield Deaf and Woodseats Social (Chris Wilder, Mark Todd and David Frain were playing for them) in 1995. Todd attempting to throw the ball back to the bowler (Wilder) but he let go of the ball too late and the ball hit a Wendy supporting team mate of mine who was the non striker batsman. He went berserk at Todd but Wilder and a few others (including me) were laughing!

Me & a few fellow travellers once had a big stand up, bags down, hold my coat row with Bassett's team in a stadium car park after a match had finished. It didn't come to blows though.
I was slippered at school by two teachers who went on to hold senior FA positions. Howard Wilkinson & Dick Bate.
