Have we missed a cheapo striker ..?

I followed this lad a few years ago(he's still only 23),when a few prem/champ clubs were sniffing,he ended up at Werder Bremen,din't make it and come back to his parent club.
He's just gone to Ross County for nothing,would he have been worth a shout ?

I have seen him a lot of times and technically he is very capable but suffers from a serious lack of pace.

I'd be looking at Boyce's strike partner at Cliftonville last season, Joe Gormley. Top scorer in Irish Premier League with 37 goals.

Strange his name came up - I was drinking with a friend's son from Northern Ireland last night talking about football and Boyce came up. He knows this lad and apparently Boyce has had lots of goes with different clubs and never made it ( one was Stockport I think he said). He reckoned that the standard in NI is no better than Division 2 at best and Boyce struggles above that though he consistently will knock in 25 a season at that level. He said it was Werner Bremen B team he was with btw. So I don't think we need to cry in our beer over this one - I certainly didn't as the beer is so watery over here in Cyprus already.
