I wasn't at Reading but TV highlights seem to have Cotts in the centre of midfield.

He ran the show during the build up to Hendo's disallowed goal.

His goal came from him being in a central midfield position as well?

Anyone who went care to comment?

I don't think Cotts is the best tackler in the world, which would limit his value when the side is forced to defend.

His lack of height is the bigger worry for this role.

Don't forget Dingle Howard will be back after his tonsillitus.

Unfortunately Hendrie is down the pecking order. If Quinny doesn't play well then Howard will be next. He is KB's signing remember.

Cotterill was on the right, he was just cutting inside most of the game running at defenders.

Quinn looked fine in the middle of the park, dropping him seems to have been the kick up the arse he needed.

Yeah... both Walker and Taylor on the overlap allowed Cotterill and Ward to get inside if they needed to. A very good run by France towards the end too.

I don't think we'd get enough time and space against a better team.

We have most certainly NOT got our central midfielder. The above suggestions are 'make do and mend' stuff that will be music to Blackwell's ears and McCabe's pocket.

We need real quality in there. The sort of class act who can make a difference. Stock, Watson or their equivalent. It will cost money but it's essential. We do not have such a player in the present squad.

By the way, I would give Morg's a run on the right wing.

Got to agree with most of that - apart from the Morgan bit, he'd be better on the left cutting in Pinchy...

I do think IF that type of midfielder came up we would go for him - I just don't think many are around, and if they are our manager doesn't think they are good enough - ie 'Wellens isn't athletic enough'......and our Bryan is?...

I saw Williamson as a step in the right direction - don't suppose I can blame Blackwell for his dodgy Union though?

Does he need to be the best tackler alongside Monty?

Weakest midfielder in Britain, coupled with the worst "midfielder" in history??? Brilliant, where do some of you dream them up :hello::easy::hello:

Another contender for WPE. Nice one.

Must have been a doozy, it almost made you post something of interest.
