Not at all. Just that many shirtless England fans usually behave like bullies as long as it's within their own parameters. Safe in the knowledge that the worst that will happen is that they will get deported (used by some as a badge of honour). A couple of bottles of cheap pissy lager, and they can behave how they like. They're out out of their comfort zone with people who will actually take them on. Wasn't in Marseille. Never been to Moscow. But I have been to England games abroad. I've seen shameful behaviour. Amsterdam and Cologne immediately spring to mind. Not that they're on their own, as my reference to Russians attests. But they go spoiling for trouble. Then, one day they find a mob ready, willing, and more than able to stick it back to them. And then complain about it.....

....and on that kind of thing, I remember Terry Venables playing against us for QPR in 1970(or 1? - Silentblade?). He came over to take a corner for them in front of the Kop at the right hand side. The Kop were chanting 'Venables is a wanker'. He put the ball down, turned to the Kop smiling, and joined in for 2 choruses, even clapping along. Need more players with a smile and sense of humour.....

Yep. Stan's Dad is in a slightly different infantry division of the CBF to me. So, we're all still tight. I saw Stan at the EUROs final v Italy.
