Put in a segregated pen and separated from middle of the road people who want to watch a football match and they're hard as fuck.

They weren't so brave when the news filtered through to some of the more unsavoury characters in Dublin, many of which had extreme Republican tendencies but little interest in a football match.

Not at all. Just that many shirtless England fans usually behave like bullies as long as it's within their own parameters. Safe in the knowledge that the worst that will happen is that they will get deported (used by some as a badge of honour). A couple of bottles of cheap pissy lager, and they can behave how they like. They're out out of their comfort zone with people who will actually take them on. Wasn't in Marseille. Never been to Moscow. But I have been to England games abroad. I've seen shameful behaviour. Amsterdam and Cologne immediately spring to mind. Not that they're on their own, as my reference to Russians attests. But they go spoiling for trouble. Then, one day they find a mob ready, willing, and more than able to stick it back to them. And then complain about it.....

Not sure about the full cap but I am an admirer of Pressmans, he always played out of his skin against us but I remember playing them at Hillsborough, could have been a night game but the teams had to change ends before kick off, as always we were in full voice as Pressman came jogging towards the away end, "you fat bastard", "you fat bastard" was the greeting all the way you could probably have heard it in S2, what did Pressman do? ignore us was the professional thing, make out he didn't hear us, no, he pulled his shirt up at the front and laughed, absolutely brilliant response, respect of the highest order, the bastard still went on and had a blinder, can't remember which game or the score maybe somebody else might remember it.

He was a decent keeper who had a sense of humour as Boxer says. I remember a photo of him at Millwall, and a fan had run on the pitch to confront him, only to get to him and realise what a big bastard he was. The fan didn't know what to do then as Pressman peered down at him smiling.....
