From the BBC match report

Sheffield United assistant boss Gary Speed:

"Their keeper made some good saves. We worked him a bit more in the second half, but we lacked that bit of luck or quality to finish it.

"We've got a lot of positives to take from the game - if it wasn't for the keeper it could have been 2-0 or 3-0.

"If we keep our little run going and keep the momentum going then we'll be in it and amongst it."

So, is he now the assistant manager? And if you read the full report, what sort of "Talking In Cliches" course do assistant managers go on?

Speed - ".....we'll be in it and amongst it." Not just in it, but amongst it too Gary? Wow.

Forest assistant David Kelly, on Camp - "He had a couple of years in the wilderness..." What, with Ray Mears? Eating berries and kangaroo widgers?

Nah, just a mistake from the press.

I haven't seen Elluis about for ages, though it is quite difficult to spot him from the John St stand.

I think getting Speedo in as assistant would be a good move for the future anyway.

Speed gave the post match interview on Radio Sheff, but it was after all the other clubs had done theirs.

He's obviously our Media man after appearing on Sky and then MoTD 2 on Sunday.

So to reignite another discussion from a couple of weeks/ months ago....If Speed's doing the PR stuff, then what is Ellis doing? :D

Does Ellis still go to games or is he like Brian Kidd?

after longest game of 'draw the short straw' in history, probably.

there was one occasion early in the second half, where speed ventured up to the touchline, leaned over blackwell and started pointing and gesticulatiing... 30 secods later he walked away shaking his head and sat down in the dug out.
