Has Paddy actually left sheffield united?

I am yet to see actual confirmation that he has left us yet. Neither ours or there OS has confirmed it and to be honest now a days i only believe official club sites because everything else seems to just be rumours. Also the same with Billy Sharp "apparently" Burnley have offered £1m is this true? has it been accepted? I understand we are all frustrated at the moment with rumours of players leaving but i have to say if a player wants to leave i believe you should let him go. All i hope is we sell who WANTS TO LEAVE soon and then bring in fresh players wanting a new challenge maybe paying smaller wages will encourage players like Blackpool got. Am sure after the WC has finished things will be much clearer, i doubt KB will want to go to Malta with half a squad so i expect 90% of transfer dealings to be done by then.

The Paddy deal isn't official yet, but it seems strange that NW has been saying how pleased he is to have signed Paddy if he hasn't got him. NW of all people has had his fingers burnt in the transfer market so its very unlikely that he'd make statements before the deal went through...

The Star was reporting that a QPR press conference would unveil Paddy and Darren Ambrose on Thurs/ Fri, so possibly Paddy's deal is done and Ambrose's has hit a hitch following the Palace takeover...

Totally agree, I want players that want to play for us, whether it be because they love the club, like Monty and Morgs or whether they just want to use us as a stepping stone is almost irrelevent as long as the give 110% for the club. Of course I'd rather we weren't used as a stepping stone, but unfortunately we've slipped back into this type of club again.

I'd really like us to do a Blackpool, get a squad of players all of similar ability, but play as a team, thats effectively what we had when we went up, so why do the powers that be insist that we have one or two big money players and the rest bobbins...

With the threadbare squad we have we have a chance to build a team of youth and experience. I don't think they'll click immediately, but thats why we need to get them in before we get out to Malta

And don't forget all the signings made in May. Derby have signed 5 - although I would suggest the quality leaves a lot to be desired - Barnsley 3, Burnley a couple.

So looking at things they might not be as bad as we all think, if paddy is going it makes sense to wait til he has left before going for a replacement? As for naysmith he didn't play for virtually all last season and could still be v injury prone, As for billy i think we have brought in a replacement already in boggy so one for one there. Once the wantaways are confirmed we may start to see freebies coming in and a few that cost a few quid.

I wasn't thinking that united would sign players in the world cup i was just meaning by 12th July ish ie another month or so things would be clearer, just got WC on the brain looking forward to watching some football for a change.
