OK he can't hit a barn door with a nuke but he's been brilliant so far. Last few games he's been man marked and denied space so maybe we need a plan B.

Didn’t we use a plan B by subbing him for another of our strikers who did well?
How do you know if he's going to be man marked until the game has startedI mean from the start.
If we use plan b from the start, doesn't that make it plan A? In which case we will have used all our plans....unless we have plan C. Also wont the opposition know all our plans before a ball was kicked and leave us in a worse position with no plan to suprise them with?I mean from the start.

Good, that clears that up then.No it means fuck all like u say
and Jordan Rhodes...It's called form, all players dip in and out of it... Well except Ronaldo and Messi.
He nearly ducked it upFor the first time I’m wondering if maybe McGoldrick isn’t first choice in that role anymore. McBurnie was much more effective there tonight—and he can finish.
Not by any means. But he just looked absolutely shot.He didn't have a good game, and he wasn't the only one. Sometimes it happens.
Just me, or was he way way off it yesterday? Has been for a while.
Time for a spell on the bench I think. Although Mousset wasted some chances at least he got on and created some. Looks like a partnership that could turn into something as well with McBurnie liking to drop deep.
McGoldrick looked like he couldn’t be arsed. Body language was all wrong. He wasn’t doing anything you associate with a good Didsy performance (we’ve accepted he doesn’t score). No tracking back, no link up, no hold up, no desire. He was second to every single ball and Oli was basically playing up front on his own for an hour. It just wasn’t him
Hasn’t quite looked the same player since that Brighton game, maybe that miss was the one that broke the camels back?
He didn’t just not play well yesterday though did he, he’s been poor since thenooh now! You're doing something that a lot of folks do wrongly imo...
You've correctly identified an issue i.e. McGoldrick's under-par performance, but, you've started to search for a cause for it.
I think McGoldrick was well below par, in fact I said to those near to me, I'd take him off and try something else, because he just wasn't doing it. But to suggest that might be down to him missing (yet another) goal at Brighton 3 weeks ago is a bit fanciful. "Post Traumatic Missed Goal Disorder" or something?
Fact is, he weren't at it last night. Nowt to do with what happened in another game. Everything to do with what happened in that game last night. That's all really.
Is he "tired", doe he "need a rest", has "fell out with the manager", is he "carrying a slight injury", blah, blah, blah....No - he just weren't very good last night -that's all. It happens and I'm sure he'll be back right as rain again soon. I think he's going to break a club record and be the first striker to play all season and not score a goal.![]()

Me neither. And when people say ‘when he gets one he’ll go on a run’ I don’t quite subscribe to that view. He’s just not got the composure for it.So it seems that McGoldrick and barn doors have had a long running association and I can't see that changing much in the future tbh.
And West Brom.As a huge McGoldrick fan I was shocked by his performance last night. He did nothing positive at all and looked disinterested, I wonder if something is happening behind the scenes that might explain it. Surely those transfer rumours to Leeds don’t have any real substance.
