Nothing wrong with Harry and Collins at CB if we have two decent full backs who are quick and can cover them if the paly gets stretched and the oppo gets in behind.

Oh, wait a minute

I think all this undisclosed fees should be banned. Fans have a right to know what their players have been sold for IMO

I also agree with Swiss about Maguire. He reads the game ok but is slow. As long as money received is used to strengthen (we know it wont be though)

im happy to trade addresses and il send 10 english pounds to anyone who wants to take me on. Harry Maguire will be playing in a United shirt next season. any takers? (@metalblade)?
That's all very well, but will be a Sheffield United shirt? ;)

I'm with Metal. Harry is going nowhere. His mum won't let him.

I'm sure a very good wage would sort that out.

It will be a Sheffield United shirt with the number 5 on the back.

My contact at the club reports directly to the Board and he says this one has been brewing for a while and negotiations ongoing between the clubs

Was Danny Wilson lying when he said on the 28th June "We haven't received any offers for anybody":-

I believe he wasn't lying which suggests that the first offer came in between the 29th June and 6th July.
7 days is hardly a protracted negotiation period.
Other clubs successfully use the media to play rival bidders off against each other.
They make it known that a bid has been received but is nowhere near enough etc..
Even if it's not the case, United APPEAR to accept the first bid because one day it's a rumour and the very next day the deal has been done. Naughton, Walker, Slew, Lowton et al...

Not specifically. In politics speak, if you take that literally, you could imply that we may have received bids for specific individuals but we haven't received offers for "anybody"

Therefore. no lie

The two boards/managers talk to each other about a possible transfer fee. An indication is given what fee would be acceptable. Then an official bid is made. So the answer is 'no',i do not beleive any offers had been made....that is not to say that discussion hadn't been underway

Hehehehe I remember McSue telling us on Radio pig he wasn't selling anyone blah blah............. at the same time as Beattie was having a medical at Stoke.

This old one again....if you can find it,listen to the interview...it is not what he said. And BT wasn't haven't having a medical on the Saturday. I was at the Brittania on a business meeting the Monday after when he turned up in the afternoon for talks and the start of his medical.(yes I know it is only the next working day but I thought you would prefer the facts)

McSue ? The kind of thing a Wednesday fan would say

Leicester just signed Zak Whitbread so there may be a cooling off on the interest in Maguire?

mccabe definitely lied that day.

yes wasn't the excuse something to do with he had Flu ? He was fit enough to pass the medical on the Monday, I have never believed anything McCabe has said since that day

So you fail a medical with flu these days, no wonder McDonald didn't pass his at the fowls.

You got any more pearlers?

Yes I know, however Metal questioned how he was fit to pass his medical even though he was unfit to play on the Satuday. I will leave it with you
