If maguire plays for England are we due .
More money? was there a clause in his Co tract and now he's moved again who would be liable to pay it ?.interesting question!!

Doubtful, no idea, if there was it was in a contract that's no longer valid, no one, not really.

Come off it, we've only just started to twig on about sell on clauses.

Which should mean we are entitled to a fee
if a clause was inserted when we sold him
to Hull, can't see as that would die after Hull sold him on

So we had a clause that insisted that any clause Hull inserted in the future would in part be ours ? Or maybe we have part of any Transfer fee Maguire commands throughout his career ? I don't think contracts work in this manner FTB

Just asking the question Luke,
Just cus Hull sell him on does that mean the clause is dead ? Depends how the contract was worded , if he plays for England then maybe it is still alive.

I have a feeling someone, somewhere, will be looking for a picture of a dead horse...;)

We had a contract with Hull the only clause valid in that contract was the sell on clause. Once Hull sold him, then the only valid clauses are the ones in the contract between Hull and Leicester. Any clause in the contract between us and Hull needed to occur when he was a Hull player, once he left Hull our contract lapsed.

We could have put in a clause that required Hull to put a clause in their sale contract requiring payment to us.

He's playing in a back three as well. Do you reckon he had a word with Southgate and said "Oi, there's a bloke where I come from who's re-inventing football and I reckon you ought to do the same. If you don't I'm fucking off to Wales to play with Brooksy".

We had a deal with Hull entitling us to a percentage of any future fee received. I see no reason why that would exclude performance related clauses as part of Maguire's move to Leicester. It may be that we accepted a settlement to avoid this running ad infinitum but on the face of it, we'll have earned 10% of whatever Hull did from tonight's appearance.
