Happy 48th birthday Sir Nige & I'd like to thank you on behalf of every Blade for giving us our 'Sheffield United' back.

The pride, passion & fight is back on the playing side of things & that has transpired throughout the club since your backroom staff & yourself took over.

From staring relegation in the face, we are now in a very healthy position with a outsiders chance of a late push for the play-offs still in sight & an FA cup semi-final to look forward to, who'd have thought that was on the cards during the days of Weir's reign?!

Keep up the good work & if I ask for one request on my birthday weekend, just one, please lead them Mighty Blades to an FA Cup Final & potentially Europe

In Clough we trust...

WHEN you win it Mr Clough, how about forming a queue round the block to take a sip out of it.
Happy Birthday.

E' dun't look a day over 30!

Good old Pinchy and itsinyerrblood gave a like to the OP.

Meanwhile Burton are 21st and falling.

Why are you so obsessed with him? While he ultimately fell short of what we wanted he actually improved our lot. Had we not sacked him we would have had a better shot at the play offs than we ultimately ended up having.

Burton are a tiny club and are batting well above their average. I remember the local idiots on here predicting record low points and all manner of crap happening to Burton. It will be no shame if they get relegated but Clough helped them fly about as close to the sun as they are ever likely to. I bet their fans at least are able to see him doing a decent if not spectacular job.

We have had many worse managers than Nigel Clough and in the past 10 years not many who were actually better. The stats show it.

I can't find remember many league games I enjoyed watching us Birthday. Can I call wrong section

Meh, Just a useless charlatan with a famous name who will be assistant coach at Dagenham or somewhere within 5 years.....providing his ego allows it.

He once dissed cricket and voted Tory ,or maybe was a catholic. Doesn't take much.

Meanwhile we prosper with half the team Clough purchases.

Done
Freeman
Coutts
Scougall
Basham

Scoogs and Bash are not even regular first 11 players unless someone is injured.

The rest are pretty much all Wilders players apart from Sharp and the lads who are out on loan.

He is trying to FO to Forest now, his future otherwise is the record lowest points ever in the Championship with the Brewers.
Won't be at Burton in 12 months time.

Blackpool finished up on 26 points in 2014/15.
Burton are currently on 22 points with a mere 25 matches left to play.

Sometimes you make Pinchers look well intentioned :)

Basham has played in 18 out of 21 league matches. He was suspended for the other three.
I think Wilder sees him as a regular ;)

Personally, I miss hearing Nige's dulcet tones as he chanted his beloved mantra 'We start with a point...' before every away league game, and also how we wildly cheered our first shot on target around the 67th minute or later.

I'm just not comfortable with us going out to win every game home and away at this level. It's not natural and it's going to spoil us, you'll see,

We can chalk Basham off anyway. He's been responsible for no part of our success, been a detriment if anything. I defy anyone to name a weaker player in the regular starting line-up.

Anyway, with regard to Brians lad. I just thought I'd quickly dip my net in the water :)

I'd name Scougall but he's not a regular.
