Has he still got some boots? Gerrimin on sat-de.
Seriously tho, thanks for wearing our shirt, and all the best.

Happy 50th birthday deano. A top player and gentleman. Still have happy memories of his goals especially the hat trick against Chester and his goals against Liverpool and man ure. . Utb

Happy birthday to the man who just about had it all, good in the air, good on the floor, strong and pacey he would sell for mega millions today.

In the summer of 1992, we received an offer of about £3m for him. Alan Shearer went for a British transfer record of £3.6 slightly later that summer. Today's record (by an English club) is about £90m, so that would put Deano's equivalent worth at round £75m. I still wouldn't take it though - you can't buy memories like the ones that he gave us.

My hero with agana as a lad. Standing on the kop and seeing deano bang em in..remember a lovely goal against bury..think pikey hit low hard cross and deano flicked it with outside of right boot over their goalie..class

I think he deserves a Blades shirt with number 50 on the back #rooks

Damn I can’t do that!

That era...."Deane and Agana", I still can't think of one, without thinking of the other.

Deano, tall, strong, fast, the blueprint for many a modern day striker.

Nice guy as well, more importantly.

Still can't forgive his celebration when he came back with Leeds and scored right in front of the kop. He then ran the length of the pitch to the dirty Leeds fans to celebrate his goal.
Totally and utterly disrespectful.
I hope his birthday candles don't light.

Happy Birthday Brian Deane, a great player for us but unfortunately not as talented as Diego De Girolamo

Along with Keith Edwards my first real United hero growing up.

A great player who was a talisman for us in that spell up the leagues and for 3 years in the Prem.

Same for me with Butlin and Bourne.

Rumoured it was the pigs but Deano wouldn't go. One of the London clubs, maybe Chelsea, offered but he didn't fancy the capital.
Stand to be corrected.

Many happy returns young man !

Remember seeing him play for Donny in a FA cup replay against Rotherham at Millmoor, late 1987. He was the standout player on the park, by a country mile, rampaging runs through the Millers defence all night. The following summer, vividly recall buying the Sheffield Star, as usual straight to the back page, the headlines, not even the main headlines if I remember correctly, United sign Brian Deane (or words to that effect) ... my first reaction, "where the f*** have we got the money from to sign him". I was expecting it to be around £200k (a figure like that would have equated to our record signing back then), then read on to find out he was costing a mere £30k ... a f***ing steal at that figure was my second reaction to the news of Deano's arrival at the Lane.

Most United fans probably wouldn't have heard of him the summer he signed, it wouldn't be long before we all realised what a f***ing player we had on our hands :)
