Is there any footage of the presentation before the game today? Would love to see it as l missed it,
It wasn't shown in that much detail on sky coverage. I think he tried to put the cap on and I am not sure it fit...

In my lifetime and having just entered my 79 th. year watching the Blades , I can safely say that we have had 3 truly great players and TC was certainly one of them , along with Hagan and Joe Shaw .

On his day he could produce some of the finest and exhilarating performances ever seen by an English footballer, up there with the the likes of Charlton and Gascoigne .

PS . If you think that 3 is a very small number who fall into this category , bear in mind that apart from a few of the top teams over that period , many clubs have had precisely none .

As an example , Sheffield Wednesday are one of those . Whilst they have had a few decent ones down the years , none come close to being classed as such or anywhere near having the talent and ability of my 3 all time heroes .

Agree, wednesdays best were always players who'd played their best for other clubs, Waddle, Walker, Henderson etc, never at their peak with them, Swan proberbly their only one

I only saw TC when I was a kid. But I do remember the swagger :-)

His book, Imperfect 10, is well worth reading. A real eye-opener about football, and the life of a footballer, in the 70s.
