Just listened to it. Think he speaks really well.

Basically, didn't feel wanted at Bradford; called us 'massive' couldn't turn down the chance; knows what it's like playing in front of 19/20k and what we expect, effort and commitment first and foremost; thinks he could do well with the crosses we put into the box.

I know they naysayers will disagree but I really do have a good feeling about this lad. We have always liked big physical players who rough up the opposition and die for the cause and I think he will be a hit. Can't wait for the place to erupt when he fires in his first (of many) bullet headers.

Don't let me down James.

Can't help but think there's abit of gareth taylor about this lad.

Hope im correct!!

Well he's come to the wrong club if he wants to feel wanted. We still shit all over Billy Sharp in spite of everything.

I wish him the best of luck.
Wanted by the staff and players. You have to develop a very thick skin as a professional footballer and quickly stop giving a shit what a bunch of Burberry clad chavs and fat, bald middle aged men think about you or you'd just spend every day crying.

What you havin a go at me for?
Every club has there moaners and negative fans boxer and they soon come out from under there stone when things go a bit ari
it's all to play for and as some punters say we never do it easy ( we have to go through the mill ,it's the blades way ) Wilder has made some really good signings in this window and we should be a better team for it,you don't strike me as a negative blade.
See you tonight !!! ??

It's a joke mate. He's saying he's fat, bald and middle aged. Like me tbf.

He could well be another Gareth Taylor but it's not about judging a player in isolation.

It's about how that player will fit into the system and what tactical options he offers.

We always have more attacks that the opposition, more crosses and many more corners. We also have a lot of goal mouth scrambles but are always outmuscled off the ball.

Basically we are far too light weight up front when teams sit back and defend in numbers. Jamie Vardy would struggle badly against a packed defender as there's no room for him to run.

So in theory Hanson should have a field day and will give our attack an extra dimension when teams defend deep.

Confident he'll be great for us this season but equally confident he'll not be so effective in the Championship because I doubt we'll dominate so much with teams being forced to defend so deep.

To be honest don't really care if he speaks like a bumbling fool or with the eloquence of Shakespeare, he's there to play football and hopefully score goals. Atkins and Dave Weir spoke " really well"

Yeah, when I moved down south for Uni I used to talk to a kid on my course about football and he was that impressed with what I'd say, he asked me to trial for his team.
Then, we had a kickabout. It wasn't my best game admittedly but he never asked me again.

The most well spoken players I've ever heard is Dave Kitson.

Let's hope it's more of the same.

...

Really?
My memories of Kitson were mainly what a dirty bastard he was and regularly made no attempt to play the ball just the man. His legs had completely gone and he was basically a rather immobile palladin bin. Plus he was ginner.

Couldn't give a toss either, I didn't post this to praise his articulation. Just liked what he was saying about his move more than how he said it. Although it is nice when an interview isn't littered with 'erm', 'yeah', 'I mean' etc etc

Some think its cool to shit all over our keeper , our right and left central defenders ,one of our midfielders, our other strikers ,anyone else ? Oh yes some cunt we've got from Wolves.

Aye, how unreasonable eh?

Having seen both play I can say he's nothing like Gareth Taylor. Totally different type of player. Hanson is one of the toughest, hardest working centre forwards I've seen. His ability in the air is right up there amongst the best and he will bust a gut for us. He's not got pace or trickery, but hopefully others have and it's all about a team game. I think he'll be brilliant for us, I really do. We just have to accept him for what he can do rather than berate him for what he can't do. Same for all players really.

Give the lad a chance Blades. He's a good footballer and a very decent bloke too!
