It's all about opinionsI think hamer is worth more to our current squadthan the small fee we got for him is
2 points off the play offs with zero creativityAbsolutely false. We're bang on lower mid table obscurity and Hamer being back wouldn't change that in the slightest
Perhaps the most inconsistent Blades player I've ever seen.
And by inconsistent, I mean inconsistent within the same game.
He could play a world class, defence splitting pass and then spend the next ten minutes bumbling around the pitch, fouling people and blindly running with the ball into crowds of opposition players.
It was bizarre at times.
I could never work out if he was lazy, didn't give a fuck or was just a bit thick.
He's not worth the hassle, move on.
I raise you a Stephen Quinn, he could run past 2 players with great skill, then fail with a 5 yard pass at the end of it. He was the ultimate ‘yin and yang’ footballer.
Me neither but as a work of shithousery it would be delightfulCan't imagine Frankie boy allowing that.

Id throw Jose Baxter in there too. He should have had a much better career but unfortunately was lazy and also a twat.In exactly the same vein, I'd chuck in Glyn Hodges. He was occasionally the new TC, but also the laziest player I've ever seen.
Squinny was a great lad with a big heart, but often tried too hard. He had more football ability than brother Alan, but he certainly had some poor games.
Mercenary! He is ambitious and had every right to do what he has with his career. As hard as it is to imagine, staying at United on the lowest wages paid at that level and adding an embarrassing relegation to your CV is probably not as attractive to him as it would be to you or I!I'd hazard a guess he's not all that big a fan of football, certainly the energetic part of it. He's a very talented player but he only shows that in spurts and is only suited to teams like us and Coventry where one flash of skill goes a long way to masking the laziness and disinterest he's more capable of showing.
I'm not a fan of Illi, think he's a mercenary first and a footballer second but he's a cracking player with bags of natural talent who works his nads off to be that top player. Maybe the player Gus could have been with a lot more work and dedication, rather than the overweight bit part player that he is.
He'll be great in those Legends games when he's surrounded by similarly out of shape ex pros in a few years.
