I'll believe Sky Sports over a Journo who works for a banter outlet.

Sky know what’s going on with agents. Our local journalists are about a week late with most news. He’ll be running about in a Coventry shirt by the time Hall and Staton report he might sign for Coventry.

Jesus, I know it's the Blades way but there are a hell of a lot of glass half empty fans on here. Hamer stays or goes we move on, last year of his contract, 3 or 4 million in the coffers or he signs a new contract and basically have him till the end of his career.

Either way it is what it is and as long as we sign a decent replacement, loan or permanent then one door closes another opens.

Jack Clarke would do for me.

Always my worry that

Sell your few assets and replace them with loans, to me is an indication of a spiral downwards

Hopefully, the club will purchase his replacement if he does leave
No chance we are and always have been a selling club that never ever replaces with better. That’s why I can never understand fans taking a financial position. I always want to keep best players because we just do not ever upgrade.

Jack Clarke is going to Leicester.

This team is miles off it without Gus and you’d basically have to take the moneyball approach of ‘replacing him in the aggregate’ with a left winger who scores goals and a central midfield player who creates them. That would be an expensive outlay on two players and not sure the fee we get for Hamer will allow us to do it. Which is why you just don’t sell really.

Don’t understand why the club is scared to death of players leaving for free, it happens all the time at other clubs because they seem to understand they’re also a football team that has a season full of games to play, and maybe performances on the pitch have to be considered.

Exactly we are totally tinpot.

Maybe just me I do think he would struggle in the premier league, it's such a high pace, might just be above his level and not sure it would be a great signing for Cov, though maybe it's just a rotation option.

I remember the player cams from a PL preseason friendly and it is wild how you get closed down in seconds, good example at 1:10 or so here:

He did struggle in the PL for us. Was still our best player mind, but that was hardly a difficult thing to achieve. Coventry have no chance this season. None. Taking him from us absolutely kills off any chance we have of a reasonable season, but it won't help them stay up either

Hopefully neither us or Coventry are so entirely dependant on one player.
I think we won quite a few games without him last season and would do so again.
Nice if he stays but if not, we move on.

I always expected Cov to not spend given their history, but signing Hamer doesn't even align with building a Yo-Yo side

Pretty sure someone said we scored a goal every 62.5 minutes with him and 63.5 without

If you don't receive incoming transfer fees, how do you expect the club to proceed?
