CONFIRMED Hamer joins Coventry

I say it without any knowledge, insight, rumour, tip or idea but I reckon he'll go to Palace.
 



Can't we play Soumare and Hamer in the middle, sort of a 4-2-3-1, Barry left, Brooks right, OHare as a 10, and Campbell up top??
As soon as we have the defence in and steadied, that looks the best formation for the way Selles wants to play, doesn't it??

Adapt your whole system to accommodate one player? That doesn’t sound very sensible no matter how good he is. What happens when he’s blowing out of his arse after 60 minutes? Or when he’s injured? If he doesn’t fit our system he needs replacing with someone who does.

I was actually going to say something very similar yesterday; I'll be interested to see what happens with Hamer, he's a fantastic player and as we've already seen again this season, capable of excellent moments, but unless he ups his work rate and overall fitness, I'm unsure he can be 'carried' with the type of system Sellés looks to employ.
 
I think he’d already be in the Prem. Can’t see many wanting him aside from possibly the promoted teams.

Or a team that loses a flair player close to the deadline....step up Palace. You would think hed be on a shortlist to replace Eze. However as said earlier by someone thats a lot of dosh they have to spend so we could extract maximum value.

Given there's always been a chance he leaves you would hope we know who we want to replace him....that lad at Watford or Chair would do for me

Doesn’t strike me as palace style to replace a 27 year old with a 28 year year old
 
He's definitely got something that he occasionally rolls out for us, but is inconsistent, acquires too many bookings, not fit enough across 90 minutes and, it could be argued, the full season.

Could be a top, top player with the right fitness and conditioning team and really wanting to go hard at it himself. He won't achieve that with us, unless Selles' new team can push him on.

I enjoy watching him but wouldn't at all be surprised if he leaves.
 
Could imagine swapping him with Billing at Bournemouth and a bit of cash. Wouldn't be terrible, but I'd prefer to have both!

I think Gus's best position is CAM, but O'Hare gives us more energy there. The two of them playing centrally behind Campbell in a 4-1-4-1 or 3-2-4-1 would be great, but I'm not sure we have the personnel at the back to make this work.

we might have now i dont think weve found hamers best position since hes been here mind still wouldnt suprise me if he went before the end of the window mind if we get 20m plus for him that could enable us to bring a couple of good quality players in

Whenever we sell GOOD we never ever replace with AS GOOD. Lets just keep Hamer we know he's GOOD.

Plus the signings thus far totally uninspiring - no chance we should trust this recruitment team -(whoever they are).

I cant see who would value him at £20m+, other than United supporters??
Not saying he isn't worth that, but theres only been rumoured interest, and I think the Leeds stuff has all been bollocks to be fair?

He’s 28 and so likely to have very little resale value in a few years. Therefore, I don’t think we would get anywhere close to £20m.

I’d hope we’d keep him till January and see where we are then, but I can see why we’d let him go now for the right offer. There’s no championship clubs who can afford to let players like Hamer run their contract down.
 
Think we will find that the club have to take hamer personal circumstances into account and subject to a decent offer can see him going back to Holland
