You get nothing from Ramble that you don’t get on here and you have to listen to a smug man talk at the same time. Granted I’ve only ever listened to the Prince interview but that was enough for me.

Its a bit more scattergun here and harder to follow. You might be following a rumour thread then step away for 30 mins. The thread is now 8 pages longer and half of those are now dedicated to which is the best curry house or which is better hard or soft cheeses etc 😂

As is “for a reduced fee” when the (almost unanimous) contemporary consensus was that we’d got a good price for someone entering the last year of their contract & (apparently) unwilling to countenance signing a new deal.

Our Danny appears to (now) have different (revisionist?) perspective on events since his ‘fuck buddy’ vacated the gaffers chair?!?

That may be the case but if a, (substantial) fee for Gus allows us to bring in the 4/5/6 players we desperately need then would it be the end of the world? A lot on here and in general think that Gus is actually the problem, (his inclusion leads to round pegs in square holes) and that he is a maverick petulant player who, picks up far too many bookings.

I would obviously prefer him to stay as he is capable of brilliance on his day but if it results in achieving a team with greater overall balance to suit the system and way that Selles wants to play then I am not completely against it.

I tend to agree. In this system his importance seems to be low.

If that works then yes I would agree.

But if you aren't planning on losing him then you'd have to ask why you wouldn't adapt the way you play to make the best midfielder in the league. (Or at least in the top 3) Work in your system.

Wilder got stick for using him on the left last season. I'd say at times rightfully so. He is better in a central role.
But it meant that Souza and to start with Arblaster could play in the middle. And they Hamer could drift forwards on the left and be given a bit of a free role.
He was still very effective.

If you can't utilise Hamer in the championship then you are a poor manager. I'm confident that should be remain. Selles would be able to get him more involved. And that doesn't mean I think we will be fantastic but I can't buy that a manager would be that rigid to isolate his quality so it's so nullified.
