Agree with this, it’s nailed on he won’t be here at the start of the season. I don’t particularly like Wilder but he won’t be entirely to blame for the poor season ahead, the squad we will have left is just not going to be good enough. I think the plan from the prince and now the new owners is getting to the PL to attract new investors or a sale.
Which in both instances mean more cash injections and potentially more infrastructure improvements too. Gotta get there first and stay.

I'm not saying I want us to be like a Wrexham with their TV stuff. But you look at what they've done actually on the pitch and improvements to their facilities and it's incredibly fast.

But to not be punished by the spending rules they are managing to get some good investors in there on top of the main two.

It's not the only way to do it but can we take any ideas off them? Not a TV show that's not what I mean but more so investments?

But then again the exposure on Disney is probably one reason they get these investors....

You can’t replace directly or on a par in our position so have to do something different, and that should be a proper winger with pace who will take full backs on imo

Abdul Abdulmalik from Boreham Wood. We need to get this lad in. They have rejected an offer of a million already. This kid is going to be very good. Fast, can dribble, very good in a one-on-one scenario with the ability to take on the player. Can cross and also can finish.

He would be an absolute steal for even 2 million!

We are yes. When we made the payment, it was spread out through his contract so e.g. if we bought him for 10 million on a 4-year contract, we would give them 2.5 million a year. Now he is the last year we owe them that final year.

That’s how the fee is amortised in the accounts, that’s not the payment schedule.

The only thing outstanding from the original transfer are incentive payments, which I don’t think we’ve hit yet.

I think that’s the aspiration for several clubs but my question is - what happens when it doesn’t work out and what are we doing to change our luck?

I don’t see us making many, if any, progressive improvements to the structure or drive of the club.

Our recruitment is slow and appears to be limited to the same names and attributes. Fitness levels have been below par for several seasons, and we constantly struggle with injuries. We’ve needed a refresh of the recruitment team and the fitness staff for some time, in my opinion.

Off the field, it feels like a similar story. Lots of words but little delivery. I may be being unfair here but it’s almost like we don’t know how to be successful. Over the last 10 years we’ve had opportunities but didn’t take them or know what to do with when we get there.

In terms of the current situation, there’s still time to bring players in. However, Wilder said we wouldn’t be in this position and yet here we are again. I’m not necessarily blaming him, as there are many people in the chain to ensure we’re prepared, but he is the face of the club and not doing what you say you’re going to do erodes credibility.

I naively thought that having American owners would address some of this, but it’s just been more of the same.

At some point we need to break the mould or rip off the plaster… whatever cliche fits (couldn’t decide )

This squad is no better than last years anyway, if Hamer doesn’t want to stay then sell him. It won’t make a difference to the outcome of games, everyone can see creativity is going to be a problem. If so, the book stops with wilders ability to overcome it.

I’m so f**ked off with the way this club does transfer business, throwing any money around on dross most of the time and slow to make any deals stick.

The contrast between this year and what we did the last time we were in the premier league, selling our best attacking players and replacing them with untested loanees/no one at all, is frightening and borderline psychotic.
