Anyone know when the club do their half time birthday announcements? We had one for the peterborough game, but didn't hear it.

The club aren't being too forthcoming, and I'd like to make 100% sure that we didn't somehow miss it before giving anyone the verbals!

Its normally at the mid point in the game. The ref takes the teams off after 45mins of play and its in this period.

What with this post and the one below from earlier Swiss ! I was thinking Alzheimer,s had kicked in overnight

Manchester United v Blades

I was about to post "Half-time", but given the vociferous reaction to a post on the thread containing the above post quoted by sothall, I thought I'd give it a miss. Good that someone else stepped in.

9th December 2015... the only game that night over here aside from Champions League fixtures was FC United 3 Nuneaton 2

Comedy responses that you really did somewhat walk into aside, they announcements themselves normally start about halfway through halftime. If it's just an announcement you only get it once, but i think the announcement is tied in with a notice on the big screen normally if you pay for it, and those tend to get replayed for the majority of the 2nd half. That's certainly what happened when I got the notice and announcement for my mums birthday back in October.

Yeah just read my post back..

Looks like the club forgot to do it, as have asked a few who know the announcementee and were at the match but didn't see/hear it..

Gonna be a tough road trying to get the 20 quid back off them, because god knows we haven't given them enough money over the last few decades

The birthday 'announcements' are shown on and off throughout the 2nd half on the big screen. Not sure if they still get read out, will have a listen on Saturday.

Barney, I suggest you don't complicate thjngs by trying to be funny. Humourless suits your persona perfectly.

I'm out of touch - do they really charge £20 to announce your child's birthday?

Oof, that'd be £40 for twins, you couldn't just do one :-)

How about neither? Neither's good for me :-)

The first home game after my children were born was the 0-2 loss at home to Wolves in March 2014. I did toy with asking them to make the announcement at half time - you know the one - "Would Mr Crouchy of Oxford sitting in the South Stand please be aware that his wife has just given birth to twins." but as Mrs Crouchy was kept in with complications for a week and things were a bit fraught I never got round to it.
