It might nust be possible we've just signed/or signing a player of our own for £1m that may have gone under the radar of other clubs who could be as good as or better than hamer in 12 months time that we could sell on for £15m plus but a lot of our fans base ability on how much we spend on to determine how good they must be.

Hamer was a bit of a liability with red cards, which he curbed last season. That would have put a lot of people off I'd guess - but yes, was clearly good.

To be fair if you offered me a straight swap - Ndaiye and anel and the 2 Coventry players I’m not sure I’d swap.

So We have done ok - especially if you add in fleck, JOC and enda for pennies also.

Short termism will hit them badly in a few years time. Too much borrowing by the Pace Brothers

Well that's more an issue of how the club is run and owned, rather than transfer strategy per se. Spending £20 million on someone isn't reckless spending if you have a "if it goes tits up on the pitch then firesale" theory. The only real potential problems are:

a) Career ending injury, which more or less never happens in modern football
b) They severely misjudge the value of a player and overpay by a fortune which they cannot recoup, which does not appear to be close to the case in any business they've done to date

Not really any different to if you knew you needed a car for the next twelve months. You might not be able to spunk ten grand on something, but if you know you are going to sell a year from now anyway at ten grand minus depreciation, then it becomes much less of an issue. Heck, the value of the players might even go up, probably had the same fingers pointed at us when we bought Ramsdale back

It's a stupid question to ask, end of story. How do I know why he's not been signed by anyone else? He was a good player though and had the stats, performances and hear say to back it up.
