It would be trickier if it were Feyenoord that were interested but PSV, as the best team in NL and playing in the Champs League next season is likely to be quite the pull for the player.

Utd's negotiation will be hampered if the player agitates for the move - they can of course stand firm but then risk impacting the form of their best player.

If they're in the CL then they should have the funds to talk properly figures then instead of pathetic amounts like £8m .

I wouldn't take a media article as gospel if I were you. However, I agree - PSV's budget should allow them to make significant signings that will improve their squad.

If Hamer were to leave, then we absolutely should not be selling for anything other than a significant profit. Hamer has been one of our best performers since he joined, still has reasonable time on his contract, and we would have a very tough time finding a suitable replacement for someone we signed while in the Premier League.

I'd much rather see him stay, and see what he can do in a different tactical setup. Selles has already said he does not want to sell him, so let's see if the club are ready to back their manager.
