It struck me last night that we've not signed a player who has gone on to play in the top flight for a long time (Swansea lads?).

The players who have came through the youth ranks.

There's got to be something incredibly wrong with our scouting network. In recent years the best we've managed are Murphy, MacDonald and Blackman.

Gone are the old days of Kelly, Kenny, Deane, Agana etc

I think it reflects our misguided believe that bringing in players from a higher league who have either injury problems or are on the downward curve of their career will work.

When Che Adams moves he will go to the premier league, could be this month who knows..

Not saying he's anywhere good enough by the way, I'm just saying he's worth a punt at a couple of million, but then it's us selling and it wouldn't even be that expensive would it..

Maybe, we'll see. It just strikes me as odd that clubs around us have been signing talented players for very little and selling them on at a large profit yet we have had very limited success with our signing. We've 'competed' because we've had some great Academy players but you would think we'd have an advantage at this level in terms of scouting and appeal.
