Good win but we played better on Tuesday

I didn't think we were very good for large spells of the game. Credit to Wigan for taking the game to us and not being another team coming to cling to a point.

Stearman had a poor game, JOC was good coming forward and not great at the back. Never seen us lose so many headers in our own box.

Definitely thought we looked better on Tuesday where the passes were flowing.

All that said, we carved them open more than once and we're always capable of that scoreline when the chances drop for us. Sharp was unbelievable in the second half, popping up everywhere.

Not us at our best, two forced changes, but still we put four in. I'd say not bad overall.

Agree with op
Main difference being today the final ball was great and that man Billy finishing
Norwood great too

Credit to the way Wigan played and they come away probably feeling a little hard done by

Fair do’s to Wigan who came and had a go, unlike Stoke and their multi million pound squad who were time wasting after 5 minutes. That was embarrassing.

Then again, Stoke nicked a point and Wigan left with nowt, so what do I know?

Norwood exceptional? Really?

I swear he gets an immediate 7/10 for putting his boots on the right feet.

We were much better on Tuesday, largely because we had Duffy on the pitch. We were very average today but Wigan fancied giving us some easy goals. Fair play to them.

He could have sat on his arse for 89 minutes and he’d have got 8/10 for 2 inch perfect 30 yard passes (one with the outside of the boot) and a free kick that setup 3 of the 4 goals.
