The comeback of Hulse, is it good or bad timing for us/him?

If he's fit but doesn't get in the team will he be poached in the next transfer window?

Or do we need to keep him badly......what if Beattie got injured?

cant do him any harm, would personally look to offload sharp and/or shelton on loan for a bit with hulse now back

IF BT were to get injured then we'd need Hulsey back no doubt but hes not injured and it will be hard to earn back a starting place unless we decide to play with 3 up front like BT, Webber, Hulse. It would also be extremely unlucky for Stead who has done nothing wrong and if at any other club in the division he would almost certainly be in the starting 11. Hulse's return will almost certainly mean Sharp will be off on loan somewhere to regain some sharpness and theres surely going to be a departure from the front line in January, although all the strikers( not including the horse) can actualy do a decent job for us.

We have but i personally would have beattie and hulse up front with webber playing behind both strikers if we can get the service in from the wings we would be flying

With Beatties form there is the good chance teams will be having a look at him for a january steal. I can't see Robson selling him but should a good Prem team come in with an offer will it be too muh for Beattie to turn down? It's certainly an interesting turn of events, let's hope it turns out for the better and we have two top class strikers battling for a place in the team.

From the Star...........

SHEFFIELD United fans will be salivating at the prospect after Bryan Robson refused to rule out the possibility of fielding James Beattie and Rob Hulse in the same team.

Beattie has become the focal point for United’s attack by taking his record for the season to 11 goals in 15 outings with a brace against Ipswich Town on Tuesday.

Hulse enjoyed a similar status at United last term before suffering a broken leg at Chelsea in March.

Robson revealed the ex- Leeds and West Brom marksman, whose absence cost United dear in the battle to avoid relegation from the Premiership, is poised to complete his rehabilitation.

Hulse could make an appearance during the Pontins League fixture with Lincoln next week and Robson has dismissed the notion that his style is so similar to Beattie’s that it would be impossible to include both in the same starting line-up.

“It’s a dilemma that I’m looking forward to having,” Robson said. “To see if they can both play together. I don’t see why not. Rob is getting close now and he’s taking part in proper training sessions with the rest of the squad but we don’t want to rush him.

“He’s close but we are not putting any timescales on him.”

I would love to see the 2 up top together ... Then with service from the wings - Stead = RM and either Carney, Stretch or even Webber at LM ... The goals will soon be flying in!

We Want Our Hulsey Back!

would be a good idea to play them both against teams like watford who are good in the air.

Beattie came to the lane under the impression we was gunna go back up..or that was his aim..he is certainly top flight quality, if we dont go up which looks unlikely, i think he will be back there and hule will get his place back, but hulse shouldnt get his place back as soon as hes fit

Hmmm...tough one. Hulse will struggle i think if Stead and Webber keep scoring goals. I would play Beattie Hulse and Webber all up front.

after all these years with warnock buying striker after striker, we now have too many good ones to choose from.

We probably have the best strike force in the league.

I don't even think that this is questionable; Hulse, Beattie and Stead are premiership class. Webber is one of the best at Championship level and Sharp has proven that he can score the goals if given the right service.

I think that a lot of premiership teams would kill for the kind of options that we have up front.

like sky said yesterday when we were on tv against stoke

we had a very strong bench, i think any team would swap their squad with ours apart from the teams that went down

our strike force is the best by far

maybe henderson and king can compare to beattie and webber but i think BT and webber are bettter
