Unless we have a change of heart before 11pm I don't see that we are any weaker, Khadra only ever made sub appearances. If Jebbo makes the step as it looks like he could be doing that will more than make up for Khadra. Another positive for me if we don't lose players or sign anyone is we don't have to integrate new faces with how we play we all know what is required for the next 18 games. The big disappointment for me is once again off field events behind the scenes have had an impact on the football side of the club as they did when the Prince and Wilder fell out. The Prince should not have let it come to a transfer embargo and hawking our better players to other clubs which is unsettling for everyone. I will forgive him on this one as up to present he has been the best owner/chairman we have had in over 50 years.
Whilst I am v.happy seems we are not losing the two star players and embargo is being paid by other means it should not have gone down this way.

Appreciate takeover makes things bit more complicated but this has caused disruption for sure.

I don't class him as best we've had because there has been some shenanigans going off in background as alluded by all 3 managers under him.
But he's not the worst.

If we are being honest our history of owners is v.v.poor overall.

Have we had a good one ?

It will be a boost in the dressing room, berge is a popular guy and the players will also be thankful they can finish this job together.

Makes you wonder if we were ever going to sell or we were trying to flush out the new owner.

Anyway I remember when the prince was announced. I am sure we were playing Rotherham way….

Name a better United owner/chairman? He backed Wilder to the hilt and of the better players he only sold the one that went on strike to get a move.

I would love it if he could get a mega wealthy relative / associate to be a silent investor. That seemed to be his original plan before selling (seen to remember him talking about looking for new investors a couple of years ago). I think we'll miss PA after the sale.

Fkin brilliant news IF true. In the Prince we trust?
Someone on here said prince playing a game of chicken ( bluff) with new future new owner. If so it's paid off with Embargo debt being paid in Feb and star players not for sale.
Could be truth in this as there has been a big uturn,
Any new owner wouldn't like to see his star players sold before he or she has taken control.

Prince is nobody's fool so who knows.!?

Yes, we're a player down.

Khadra replaces Ndiaye in terms of what he can offer as a creator off the front, Jebbison and Osula are strikers. He didn't quite fit, but we're weaker with Brooks on the bench.

Hasn't Khadra already scored a couple for Brum?

Difference being, Brum play with Wingers

We don't. Khadra never offered us anything at all.

I'm actually relieved that absolutely nothing happened involving us. I think ''well done' to the board is stretching it, being as we're in an embargo which means it's highly unlikely we'd be able to sign anyone, whilst our close rivals have all signed players.

Still this is United, we're on a great run, 12 points clear and the owners press the self destruct button.

I'll leave the country if it all goes wrong.

Jokes aside, it's football. I mean if someone comes in with a crazy bid then the club might change their mind but as it stands this is the position.
at last a board with integrity....not enough money . but going up will cure that

It probably did help that a fair chunk of our squad had relegation clauses that reduced their wages.
It probably did, but our wage bill is still huge for the Championship and, as has been pointed out, most relegated clubs sell players. Other than Ramsdale, we didn’t. A big gamble by the owner that looks like paying off.

Best owner in my lifetime by a mile.

Would be hard for him to have offloaded our big PL signings when nobody wanted them.

Our wage bill will be low compared to other recently relegated PL clubs, which is fine.

Tbf unless a team plays 4-2-3-1 and has a need for a new right-side of the double pivot, I'm not surprised he's not seen as being worth £25m to anyone at the moment.

If he still wants to eventually move on regardless of whether Utd get up, his best option would be to play himself into form for remainder of the season and attract attention over summer - when he'll hopefully be worth £35m again! :)

Everyone knows that when you deny a player a move they play like a twat, sulk, and create problems in the dressing room.
McCabe told us

I fully expect Sander and Iliman to cause so much trouble and play so badly that the only place they can go after us is Exeter City or somewhere.

McCabe got 2 sales right in his whole stewardship. One being Curtis Woodhouse and the other being unfortunately David Brooks. The rest were undervalued or hastily sold without any adequate replacements.

Id suggest we had Derbys pants down with Lee Morris, hang on that wasn't Mcabe?

I’ll judge the prince on how quickly he gets us out of the embargo / who we sell to but this gives us a huge promotion boost.

I wouldn’t blame him selling Berge for financial reasons, but if we can get the Berge back that we had at the end of last season/ start of this we’re lucky to keep him.
In reality the prince should be judged on letting us get into this position in the first place.

Could be a Ramsdale payment which has meant we can pay the club we owe and lift the embargo???
