Cause maybe folk like to see both? If you want to watch United score a goal, then defend it for 45 mins that's you prerogative. I'd like to be entertained whilst watching. Wins are obviously more important than performances. But why can't you have both? Did you find last season entertaining?

But, and it's a genuine question.. What did we achieve? 92 points is a good haul.. but it means absolutely nothing when we lose in the final? Truthfully, I haven't watched since Wilders been back, cause we know what to expect. Granted from Selles to last season were shite.. Looked good during pre-season, then abysmal since.

The apathy during and at the end of the Adkins era was as bad as ive ever seen it except for when Peters took us to the 4th division. The disconnection at present is down to the current board and the fans who were not satisfied with 92 points last season. Sure, the quality of football could have been better but let me ask you something. Would you take 15 points from the next 5 games regardless of performances? Yes or no?

FFS, final whistle just blew and the wrist slashers are fucking loving it. Usual bollocks about the players not caring, manager hasn't got a clue, no one's fit to wear the shirt etc. Did any of you mardy arses watch the game? I mean seriously, did you see what happened on the pitch or were you too busy working yourself into a lather about the result?

If you watched the game we fucking battered them. We were quicker to the ball, we knocked it about, we fought for it but all you see is we lost again and the meltdowns start. We gifted them a goal yet again, a fucking disaster at the back but we did more than enough to win that game. Hit the post, biggest goal mouth scramble in history and we picked the wrong player to take the pen. If you didn't see a big improvement it's because you didn't want to. We were vastly improved on recent performances and I'm optimistic we'll start picking points up soon.

Sorry if that offends some of you lightweights but ey, I'm not really sorry, I just don't give a fuck.

Yep, 92 points or whatever should not be the only thing we should use to evaluate last season. In late March, we were top of the table, well on our way to automatic promotion. By May, we were losing a playoff final after completely collapsing for the final 10-15 games of the season.

92 points (or, really, 90 points) matters in that it was enough to get us playoffs. It doesn’t mean that, because we earned that number of points, we deserved to go up. We simply didn’t.

Wilder did a good job rebuilding morale following a dismal season in the Premier League, but I do think he perhaps benefitted from people having very low expectations going into last season. I recall hearing many people thinking we’d finish mid-table prior to the beginning of last season, when, considering how weak the championship was (relatively speaking), perhaps expectations should’ve been higher.

I thought we’d get playoffs prior to last season, which we obviously did. However, in February and March, I thought we were going to be going up automatically. In my eyes, therefore, Wilder’s performance last season was pretty good, but considering our league position towards the end of the season, still quite disappointing.

For me, and many more, the connection never left. It's all part of the 'narrative'. Disappointed and tired of rubbish performances and losses - yes but not disconnected.

Like it is right now.

I'd take 6 points if it meant something had changed, never mind 15. Neither may happen though.

Weird how last season performances didn’t matter and we had to accept playing poorly because we were getting results, now that results match the performance we’re expected to believe the lie that we played well and gloss over how shit we’ve been for nearly a year?

Club fucked up both managerial appointments this season, Wilder will walk again after leaving us facing League One.
