Does anyone know what happened to Ben Godrey?
He's not been mentioned in team selection or any speculation.
I'm just curious.

Best wishes to him, hope he's alright. He has stuff going on in his personal life and is unlikely to feature for some time.
I hope he’s alright, on a personal level.Best wishes to him, hope he's alright.
No it started about 5 seconds afterwardsWonder if this 'personal stuff' was going on at the time we signed him, and committed to a massive expense for one season of his services so we could play him out of position?
Bravo to all involved in this transfer

Send him back!He has stuff going on in his personal life and is unlikely to feature for some time.
Someone mentioned rehab on blades ramble last night in the comments asking if it was true but jimmy shot it down quickly and moved on .Health reasons apparently. He did have long covid, so I am not sure if it is related (and no I’m not some anti-vax conspiracist).
The oracle?Someone mentioned rehab on blades ramble last night in the comments asking if it was true but jimmy shot it down quickly and moved on .
Well that will explain why both are shit for us. Moonlighting as jockeys on the side.
First race ever where the jockeys pulled up lame
James Wallace was the mf from Tranmere. We can also add, for varying reasons, Danny Cullip, Panos Retsos, Geoff Horsfield...I wish Ben Godfrey all the best with whatever his personal issues might be and, whatever they may be, I hope that they work out as best they can for the bloke. But, as a club, we seem to have a real knack of signing players and getting them on the payroll who we rarely (in some cases) ever get to see play for their wage. Admittedly, a few of these have been down to injury (but even then in some instances the injury record was known at the time we jumped in to sign them).... I can think of a a few who made me wonder if they ever really existed in the first place - John Ebbrell, Ryan France, Justin Haber, that lad we signed from Tranmere (under Clough), more recently we've had Jamie Shackleton and Tom Davies (although we have seen TD a few times). But it seems like we have a real penchant for signings who don't or can't deliver anything near VFM....
Tom Cannon is actually from Aintree!
Can add Rodwell & Ravel Morison as well.James Wallace was the mf from Tranmere. We can also add, for varying reasons, Danny Cullip, Panos Retsos, Geoff Horsfield...
It says last run 17 ?Tom Cannon is actually from Aintree!
Whenever I see MF I automatically think motherf***er!James Wallace was the mf from Tranmere. We can also add, for varying reasons, Danny Cullip, Panos Retsos, Geoff Horsfield...
Retsos a random one who may actually have been worth keeping - we never really saw him. Captain of Olympiakos and won the conference league with them 23-24James Wallace was the mf from Tranmere. We can also add, for varying reasons, Danny Cullip, Panos Retsos, Geoff Horsfield...
A couple of those were definitely MFsWhenever I see MF I automatically think motherf***er!![]()
Dont forget Luke Beckett. What was the point of that signing ?James Wallace was the mf from Tranmere. We can also add, for varying reasons, Danny Cullip, Panos Retsos, Geoff Horsfield...
James Wallace was very good, I was always disappointed when he'd turn up for 5 minutes and then disappear. Unfortunately he, like Tom Davies, just doesn't have legs that can cope with professional football.James Wallace was the mf from Tranmere. He was a beast of a player but he was too muscular to have a long career free of injuries.James Wallace was very good, I was always disappointed when he'd turn up for 5 minutes and then disappear. Unfortunately he, like Tom Davies, just doesn't have legs that can cope with professional football.
