1-0: Ollessandro's description:

QPR got a corner to the away fans left and a poor delivery somehow ended up in a goal. The ball was knocked in and should have been dealt with by Montgomery. Morgan’s shout of ’away’ was clearly heard by the travelling fans, yet his team mate failed to do that. The ball skipped past Montgomery and hit Morgan in the face, clearly taking him by surprise. The ball bounced out to the edge of the area to former Blade Leighertwood who struck the ball first time. It deflected off Morgan and bounced past the wrong footed Bunn. This was a truly soft goal and United were punished for not being awake at the beginning of the game.

Yes, immediately looked like Monty should have cleared it, and the fact that he didn't took Morgan by surprise a little.

QPR have two players lined up outside the box, and it seems Stewart was the one told to pick up Leigertwood. As the corner is mishit Leigertwood shows good anticipation by moving over to the right, while Stewart hesitates a little, enough to allow Leigertwood time and space to shoot.

Leigertwood has scored quite a few from that range, which I'm sure Blackwell will have warned the team about. I think he'll be a bit disappointed that Stewart didn't get tight enough to block the shot.

Morgan hasn't completely regained his balance when the shot hits him.

From what I heard on the commentary Monty did far and away enough to redeem himself one mistake

How many did Leggy score for us from that range?!?!?!Or get on target!!!

Good solid player Leggy. His performance for us at Goodison was one of best from any of our lot in Premiership imo. Bad mistake letting him go in my opinion. Athletic, strong, mobile and can strike a ball when rpesented with the opportunity. Struck one at Emirates didn't he? Was that him? Disallowed.

It's difficult to attribute balme for this one. As Bergen points out it could lie with 3 players. On Saturday afternoon I thought it was Monty's mistake. Morgan yelled away as a piss poor cross came in. Monty missed it and then Morgans clearance was poor. That seems a bit harsh on monty wathcing the replay. The ball came across quite quickly. That said it should have been dealt with. Morgans clearance was weak and Leigertwood should have been picked up. It was a bit of a ball ache, because the shot was weak. Bunn would have had it covered easily if it hadn't taken a wicked deflection of Morgs.

Never fail to be amazed by the way you completely change your opinion of players once they've left.

You do know you won't get away with a 'we should never have let Bunny go' post in 5 years don't you?

That post made me wonder if "Micalijo" was your second alias! Remember Leigertwood outpacing Anichebe while looking half asleep in that Everton game.
