We're in need of another CB to partner O'Connell, and a big striker option.

But most important of all, IMO, a goalscoring CM to partner Fleck.

I've previously suggested Cameron McGeehan of Luton, who at the tender age of 21, got 12 goals in the league last season. Although no doubt we won't be in for him.

Any more?

Andrew Davies.
Family unsettled in The Highlands.
Looking to move back closer to "home" (Teeside)

So you keep saying. You heard something by any chance?

He's not good enough.

As for midfielders, I think a solid defensive minded player is probably more important, especially if we sign a winger and a striker who can both score goals.

According to Wiki: (yup I know)
Under contract @ Luton until 2017
They paid "six figures"
'substantial' sell on clause to Norwich
= unlikely

So why did you bring it up then? You really are something else.

Why not? There's not already a thread about goal scoring CMs, it's an interesting subject.

I know Barney can be a bit of a contrarian at times, but people sometimes (yourself in this case) can't wait to have a go.

Oh I don't know, this thread really proves what an outrageous bastard he is.

It seems like a forum full of petulant man babies at times doesn't it?

The subject is very interesting. That's not what I am referring to though is it?

Keef C said the post wasn't a rumour, implying it was is the wrong place. Barney said it was only place with player suggestion tags. He was then asked why he didn't use said tags, if that was the thought process, to which he replied he was asking for suggestions, not making them.

So what is the relevance of the suggestion tags? Why did he bring them up?

Not an attacking midfielder per se but John Lundstram from Oxford would potentially suit Utd - physically strong, puts a foot in, excellent passing ability. Recently made captain at Oxford (signed since Wilder left), going into the final year of his contract (although Oxford do have an option of a third year), only 22 and would no doubt also prove to be a good investment.

This is the section for player suggestions, hence the prefix available. However, since I wasn't making a suggestion myself, and rather asking for other people to make suggestions, there was no need to use the prefix. The prefix suggests the creator of the thread is suggesting a player, and I wasn't.

There's your explanation but it's a slightly strange thing to get all upset about.

But you brought the tags up in response to the suggestion you'd put it in the wrong place.

I'm not upset about it, I'm just asking why you brought it up. It's a strange thing to say.

My theory is that you can't stand to be wrong about anything, no matter how pathetically small or trivial.

It's only a hunch, but I suggest you wouldn't be so bothered by it if it was another poster. Like others have mentioned, it's an odd thing to get your knickers in a twist about.

I don't know what thread Im responding half the time!?!? :o

Just reply if it's an interesting post..we've not had a goal scoring CM for yonks :(

.
I brought it up because it proves it's in the right section.

General Blades Chat - No player suggestion prefix.
Rumour Mill - A player suggestion prefix

I wasn't suggesting a player myself (so no need to use the prefix), I was asking for player suggestions, so which is the most appropriate section, one where there is no player suggestion prefix, or one where there is?

Defensive minded. I don't mind that. It describes a characteristic without excusing the player from his other footballing duties...

But you brought the prefix up! If the point about player suggestions is what you meant (which is fair enough) then why didn't you just say "this forum is also for suggestions"? Suggestions tags seem irrelevant to me. Odd thing to mention.

Can't get any more relevant I'm afraid.

Refer to my previous post for a thorough explanation but I brought it up because the suggestion tag is the difference between this section and general Blades chat.

There's only so many ways I can explain it. It's fairly simple.
