Regardless of today I think we all recognise that, to progress we need somebody up front. Porter is doing well, Miller maybe not and I'm not sure if Paynter is the solution.

Looking at the latest table, I'm shocked to see that only two teams have scored less than our total of 36 - doomed Shrewsbury (34) and Crawley (34) who have played three games less than us.

So who could we realistically go for? Britt Assombalonga of Peterborough. Not at the moment, obviously. But as soon as play-offs are settled we could start to put things in place. Posh would obviously come out with some crap about '£5m' (largely to appease the supporters so they could then say 'we couldn't stand in his way.' Sound familiar?)

I reckon a bid of around £1m - 1.5m would tempt Posh. Not tall (5 ft 91⁄2 in), it could be that NC wants a more commanding presence at corners etc. Just a thought, but we definitely need to address this position.

Considering Posh broke their transfer record to sign him and he's the leagues leading marksman I'd say we have no chance

Posh paid over 1.1m for him, he is proven in this division and if they don't go up, will sell him to a championship team for at least 2m.

I'd go back again for Wilson at the end of the season. Coventry will be under more pressure to sell following a year of very low revenue.

Having won eight on the trot, is it really the right time to be talking about a new striker? Two more wins and we're safe. Nigel will build in the summer.

Ishmael Miller up front with his brother Shaun?

Currently on loan to Yeovil scored against the Pigs

As I've said many times so far this season - "one game at a time"

Today is about beating Charlton, and getting to the semi-finals (not bothered about the Wembley bit).

Porter from the bench again today. Baxter to work his socks off yet again. Both very different players but doing the job at the moment.

Win today and it'll feel like we've got a team of strikers.

And for what it's worth, Aguero at Man City looks pretty decent as an all rounder. I reckon he'd come

What about Scott Hogan at Rochdale? Looks class whenever I've seen him. Turned down a move to P'boro in January.

Only if he sings the GCB song live on telly.
