Been a blade for an embarrassingly long time....I'm usually a clapper.
I'm grow up now,got two young uns at school and a wonderful woman.
Saturday's are a valuable commodity for all of us but incredibly my loyalties are torn.
It usually goes something like this,
"Daaaad...on Saturday can we go to"......."oh I'm sorry love I'm going to watch United"
Well today I feel like a right cunt for all the bullshit I put them through because my sacrifices are
not valued enough at the lane.
I took my dad to his last ever game at Wembly against Huddersfield,his first and last outing in a fuckin wheelchair,he was in severe pain,he was a true blade bless him....... We could't even win for him.
Not going Saturday I'm taking my family out.

I'd love to be there on Saturday. It's a huge game and we do have a chance. If I lived in Sheffield there's no doubt I'd be there.

Saying that, I don't go every week. I may feel the same as you if I did.

In five or so years your kids will be growing up and wanting to do things on their own. If you don't spend the time with them now, you may never do.
The Blades will always be there, ready to take your money. Spend your time with your family.

So it didnt pan out as we wanted, got 2 bids rejected hey ho
I waited ten years for us to spend a million pounds on a player and he lasted 8 minutes
you just get on with it , with whats left
a less bloated squad

the very last loan window ever in 10 days, next season its just the 6 monthly opportunities

To be fair mate re Huddersfield and your Dad, and I know I'm stating the obvious here; the team wouldn't have known about your Dad and even if they did and shook his hand before the kick off I'm fairly sure the performance would be exactly the same. That team was just playing on empty and stripped of its best two players in Ched and McDonald and I think Lesconel was injured too for months. They gave their absolute all and had it not been for our unbelievable collapse of England Cricket team proportions in the penalty shoot out we'd have gone up.

As for every Saturday, I'm in a similar boat, but not with United. I play hockey for the majority of the season and I see the kids go off every week with the misses on a Saturday during the winter but I'm not going to be young forever (to play sport) and I get the Sundays and the summer with the kids. I see United when I can, which isn't as often as I'd like, but I can't have it all my own way. It's a bit crap right now, but we've also had some truly amazing memories and incredible seasons to remember too. Sadly this isn't one of them!

The board have been even more shite. Kevin McCabe has been the best we've had in my time , and he's been a fucking disaster .

I've always loved going to The Lane.
