Ghost goal

Worse than the Newcastle at home decision. Same feeling as that game too. CBA.

Who needs technology

1 Ref
2 Linesman
3 Goal Line tech
4 VAR

And still the monumental cretins manage to fuck it up

Utter Cretins

4 layers of failure, absolutely unbelievable

If our lot had done the ref surround like other teams, that would have been given.

I repeat, cretins of the highest order

If restrictions on the number of people in the stadium had stretched to allowing linesman that would have been given. No way would a linesman have missed that.

Btw no idea who that guy was running up and down the line with a little flag.

How’d he get in?

Never mind ghost goal, more like the ghost team!
We were v poor, created nothing, Lundstrum and Berge offered v little. Really missed JF and JOC, showed how thin we are beyond first 11.
Nothing for front two to work on, and I thought we looked laboured with no quality at all.

I hope it is down to it being the first game and we need to get it out of our system. We did not deserve 3 points so from 30 minutes out I was willing us to get a point.

I thought McBurnie wasn’t great but tbh the whole team was a little off the pace. First game though and an away point so I can live with that.

Also let’s not forget Villa were really up for it. Game in hand, chance to reset and quality players.

Reading the hawk eye statement, 9000 plus games and first failure. Let’s be right, it had to be us.

First game back in front of the watching world and a decision like that happens. Utterly embarrassing for the Premier League. They’ve made a mockery of their ‘brand’.

We didn't deserve to win that game. But if that goal is awarded, we would have.

First time in 9,000 games that's happened..... fuck me. 9,000/1. And we're on the wrong side of it. It truly beggars belief. We have a knack for this sort of thing.

Thought we'd have the first PL goal post COVID.... but no. We're the first ever team to suffer from goal line technology failure. We'll take that, eh?!

It's laughable for the PL - they desperately try to appear superior, above the rest, a different entity - and then that happens. In front of 700m viewers. Joke.

The frustrating thing (amongst many) being that it feels almost forgotten already! Imagine if it happened to someone of importance, like Newton Heath for example ..

I celebrated straightaway.

How the fuck the VAR officials can't look at it, at least on a replay, and actually think on their feet just a little bit and communicate........ pathetic.
All conditioned. Tech before human thought.

Whoever is in charge of the officiating has to be sacked, they simply aren’t up to the job. This is the worst error possible and it just can not happen without someone being held accountable.

As I said, I celebrated straightaway, with no replay. I knew. Did the VAR people have no suspicions? No initiative to just say 'hold on a second' and have at least one more fucking look at it?

The stupid thing is they probably wouldn't trust their own eyes anyway and would've just gone with 'the technology' regardless.

These cunts that operate these 9 cameras, just want to watch it on sky amazing how sky picked it up and these cunts didn’t, 1st time in 9000 games is gone wrong FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant that ref see with his own eyes that it was a goal ,without all this shit about his watch didn't bleep.whats point in him being on pitch if he cant make decisions like this.any other division it's a goal .
