C&Ped for clickless:

Sheffield United season ticket holders are being given the chance to help the Blades last gasp scramble to beat the drop from the Championship.

With points and goals at a premium, United are hoping for an enhanced home following for the South Yorkshire Derby against Barnsley.

Season tickets holders can bring a friend by purchasing an extra ticket for just £3 for Saturday's home fixture.

Dave McCarthy, Sheffield United's head of operations, said: "After the victory at Reading, the fight to avoid relegation goes on. We all know it is going to be difficult but if the results go our way on Saturday and the fans can help us pick up a few more goals, then who knows what will happen on the final day of the season.

"Barnsley have sold out of their allocation and they come to the Lane in good voice, so the more Blades in the stadium getting right behind the Blades, the better."

United are only selling tickets in the home areas to fans already on the ticketing database. Tickets for this game are available in person or over the telephone on 0871 995 1889. Online sales have been suspended for this game due to segregation issues. General prices are adults from £22, concessions from £16 and Junior Blades from £5.

Who are you going to choose Mic, me or Tunsy?

If anyone needs a ticket, I have no friends (who aren't ST holders)... let Foxy know and he'll pick you one up for you under my account.

Developing from my above thought

How about a S2 "twinning" day. STH's take their NRS nemesis to the game.

Brownie could take Walth
Len Trig
Swiss Horace

etc etc

The thought of you clapping em off or clapping em round a lap of honour is too much for me if truth be told.

Here's a brain-bending alternative... go, but don't clap them off.

What is it with people on here today? :D

Yeah come on Swiss you fooker, what about taking me?

If you are a True Blade, I can help. :)

Nope, better things to do. The thought of you clapping em off or clapping em round a lap of honour is too much for me if truth be told.

Well leave before that. Will I be banned and called a key board warrior if I call you a J Arthur Ranker?

Just to want to say what great customer service I've had from the Blades.

Dropped Richard Batho a quick e-mail to see if I could get 4 x £3 tickets for the Barnsley game as a ST holder for next season.

I received a response within minutes saying "yes, no problem", popped down to Bramall Lane - friendly service at the ticket office and 4 tickets purchased for £12 plus 8 free tickets for the FA Youth Cup Final.

Maybe its the unseasonably good weather but things are really taking a turn for the better at BDTBL just now, even relegation will benefit us in the long run.

I certainly hope so yes.

So, you're boycotting AND buying a True Blade Ticket at the same time??

Take that Birchy.

Remarkably, this offer has persuaded two lapsed season ticket holders to make a re-appearance on Saturday.
Good job they're not going to do any offers in the 3rd division, wouldn't want them coming back and clogging up the place.
Anyone know if the ticket office is open on Friday, couldn't see it on our website.

Well if they're closed because of the extra Bank Holiday, that'll give you another chance to have a moan at the club. If they are closed, just give them a ring tomorrow and they'll hold the tickets for you to collect on Saturday, easy peasy.

Couldn't get through on the phone today, hence asking on here as I can physically get down there on Friday.

I have just had confirmation that the ticket office will be opening on Friday. Just trying to find out times.
