Get him early if were going for him

Sheffield United has expressed an interest in bringing back Kyle Bartley. My opinion is if were going to get him for a season then we need to get a full pre season out of him ideally including the trip to Malta. I don't think it would do us any favours if we bring him in, in August as a bit of a last minute panic.

The questions are: 1) can we afford him and 2) will they let him go

i would imagine a lot of premier league clubs like to keep there promising youngsters with them through pre season before deciding whether to send them out on loan or not. i think if bartley does return it is more likely to be nearer the start of the season, which i wouldnt have much of a problem with given the time he spent with us last season.
