Any chance of getting Clough back? It was bad under Clough, but this is diabolical, did we ever lose 4-0 under Clough?

No way. If that useless tool did his job right in the first place we wouldn't be where we are now.

Adkins is the right man I believe. The players are still by and large the same lot from last season.

Clough made a lame attempt to sort the defensive problem by making it worse offloading Butler and getting a defender in on loan who didn't train with the squad.

This defensive problem is Clough's fucking legacy!
And he knew that. He also tried to sort it... And knew the summer was needed to rebuild

I'm sorry but how did he try and sort it? Even in January and into the loan window in February when everyone was crying out that we needed a new CB or two, Clough failed to act, I even recall him saying we didn't need anyone as McEverley and Basham were doing the job and he was happy with that.

There was no way he could have been trusted to do the right thing in the summer.
I, like many, we're resigned to having him as manager this season when no swift action came following Swindon but I had no confidence in him being able to change it and step up.

These problems started with Clough, Adkins needs to be given a chance to turn things around.... If he gets off to a Weir like start though he won't be.

Already huge pressure next week against a flying Chezzie side another thrashing and things could slide away very quickly.

Bullshit. His big idea was signing that crock who was at Derby with an injury record that makes Wallace look like an ever present.

Basham, Brayford, Kennedy...

Basham = Midfielder

Brayford = Right Back

Kennedy = Injury prone youngster

Not one dedicated, solid, experienced CB which is what we needed. So Clough didn't sort it, nor did he try properly. He merely tried square pegs in round holes.

Did Clough ever lose a game 4-0 under the Blades?

Two players out of position and the other an injury plagued youngster. In fact it was criminal to blow the budget on a right back then play him out of position due to a situation Clough had created himself.
Bashams best position is centre half, Brayford can most certainly play just as well at full back and centre half. Wise business from the club. Not just clough

What? He barely made any attempt to sort it properly though and he had enough time to. Maguire got sold last summer and he had two transfer windows to sort it.

Hence why he ended putting our most valuable player Brayford at centre back and I think the change in position contributed to him getting injured.

We can debate the rest, but that's the most ridiculous comment I've read here in a while, especially from a decent poster

Didn't Brayford get injured while trying to sort out a McEverley fuck up ?
