Interest according to the twitter messiah Nixon.

Apperntly wages not an Issue.

Is he the one who read the news on TVAM

They used to live in Camberwick Green. This is him as a baby with his Ma. She was the original 'one parent family'...

He’s a versatile attacking midfielder. Can play wide and through the middle. Apparently quite inconsistent.

Would be much better Duffy competition than anything we've had. Got plenty of development left in him too.

But give me Luke Freeman over him all day long.

Early days but concerning that CW is already appealing to the board

Freeman would be a great addition. However, these vibes from CW and the fact the High court still beckons is worrying

From a Sunderland fan on twitter this, context is that a blade said he’s a good player and will fit in our style of play with his work ethic, and that he has ability to play higher...:
“He doesn’t at all he will work hard but has very little quality”

Not really 'top end' championship quality and experience that CW said he was aiming for in the summer, a la Egan and mcg to a lesser extent

Fuck me. That’s it then, lads, we move on. I see no reason to doubt such irrefutable analysis. What do Phil, Chris and Alan know about decent players anyway?

True, and to be fair Leonard was the best thing since sliced bread according to Southend fans. Although, Phil, Chris and Alan probably also thought the same.

George Honeyman just isn’t a very good player I’m afraid. That’s all there is to it.

Camberwick Green...... not a fuckin patch on Chigley and Trumpton when I was a lad
:D

Conclusions were drawn when he was linked to us
Wrong. I was quite interested in Honeyman with Sunderland’s precarious position and him being a young homegrown player looking to make an impact on the championship so I kept an eye out for him like I tend to with players I’m interested in. No idea how he’s doing this season but I do know he’s not playing in the position we’d have him in.

We’ve been linked with some good players this summer onwards, Honeyman isn’t one of them.

Sunderland future

Honeyman has been linked with a move away from Sunderland in the January transfer window, with The Sun reporting of Sheffield United’s interest in the 24-year-old.

The midfielder’s aforementioned tweet to Sunderland fans underlines his commitment, and perhaps it is a clue that he does not plan to leave the Stadium of Light in the middle of a season where the team are aiming to win automatic promotion to the Championship.

The tweet relates to him praising the Sunderland fans for backing them week in week out.
