Tough choice. On his form the other year Brombs, but at current form i'd have dropped him a coupla weeks ago for Koz.

some sense there!

On current form Koz would be in the side for me, but people slag Bromby off wayyyy too much. He is good enough in my eyes.

There was a long time between the date of being released and BR apparently offering him a contract.

If Robbo rated him that much he would have signed him along time before Barnsley would have even contacted him.
It's hardly the first thing on his agenda though, is it!!?

i was never a big fan of kozzy. thought he was useless. But at the moment hed do a better job than bromby. Few seasons ago bromby was the best full back we had, hes not good enough anymore.

So id go for kozzy.

As said, had he rated him at all it would have been one of first things on his agenda,
I guess we'll just have to disagree on that one, Robbie. He DID try to sign him and didn't act quickly enough - but I don't think the time frame in which this scenario played out has any relationship to how highly Robson rated Rob Kozluk.

Aye we will.....

All I am saying is though, if a manager is that bothered about a player he would have made them an offer as soon as he could. The fact he Koz said he wanted to stay is a big indicator that Robbo didn't show much interest at first.

I agree with robbie if he was interested the offer would have been in much sooner!

Much sooner than what though, Tino?

Warnock released him and Robbo wasn't appointed for a couple of weeks. During that time Kozluk had talks with Barnsley and agreed terms. Robson said this himself.

Transfer of Kozluk to Barnsley 3rd July....
Robson takes charge of Sheffield United May 21st....

Date of transfer, not date of terms agreed. Actually, not even a transfer. He was released by us and signed for Barnsley.

Anyway, that's what Robson was clearing up when he said it. Kozluk had already agreed terms and didn't want to renege.
