Not true. Man U only won the league last season due to Mancini's inability to manage

Man Utd finished top after the entire season was over, making them the best team in England. Pick other peoples inabilities by all means, but when push came to shove, it was Man Utd that finished above every other team. That was the side Moyes inherited, the best side in the country. The lack of transfer dealings in the summer etc are Moyes. DW inherited a side that couldn't get promoted from L1.

I think Moyes is about to be found out. An Evertonian mate of mine thinks his level of success at Everton has been greatly exaggerated. Although you wouldn't expect them to win the league or even get a champions league place a cup shouldn't have been beyond him. He points to Wigan, Birmingham,Middlesborough and Swansea as clubs who all won cups while Moyes was at Everton

Absolutely agree. His 'level of success' at Everton was 13 years = no trophies. 35k crowds, decent transfer budget, he's been getting away with murder.

His comments about 'needing 4-5 years' and 'we need quality all over the pitch' prove he's panicking already. Der, would this be the Premier League Champions he's talking about?

Expect Mourinho at OT in 12-18 months.

When things are shit ,we are supposed to take a long term view at a 'project'.
When things are good ,we are supposed to take thing 'one game at a time' and only look to our next game.

Its bollocks ,if our 'project' is 5 years long we could be taking our one game at a time against Dinnington Town.

i reckon our squad is as good as any of these on paper (orient??) .. that is why i am worried about our position
Orient have the most clinical striking pair in League 1 so far I believe, our strikers have accumulated 0 goals. Mooney and Lisbie together have 15. It's also obvious that their defence is a lot more solid than ours. On paper I would say we have probably the 6th best quality of players. That's it.
Also, I'm not sure how you can say our team matches Wolves' on paper...

Interesting to hear before match tonight, talking about moyes building his team. He reckons it takes 4 to 5 years to build a team, and that he will be given time to do this. We expect weir to build his side and be top of the league in 8 matches

If we give Weir 5 years we'll end up in the Blades Super Draw League

I expected us to be in the top 10, 11th to 14th if wed had some bad decisons or sending offs, but no lower even if Megson had been given the job , and deliberately trying to make us look bad , Weir has managed that effortlessly

It did need rebuilding. Wilson's second season team was on borrowed time - look at the level his senior signings last season are playing at this year - Higginbotham is in the Conference, Robson is in the SPL and Kitson is in League 2.

Weir's intentions are spot on - remould the team into one which can play incisive, pass and move football - but the execution isn't happening at the moment because we've got a soft core, no leadership and a lack of balance at full back.

But then surely, the point you are making is the players you mentioned are pretty much past it. We were able to get rid of them all (I could be wrong but i think they were all out of contract). Losing 3 older players with nothing to offer does not mean a playoffs-capable team needs rebuilding.

It means you have a decent budget, one of the best wage budgets in the division, a good following, great stadium and chance to bring in your own players. If you find yourself at the bottom of the league with a team like ours, you're very fortunate to still be in a job.

Saying you're rebuilding and trying to play a certain way when we don't have the players to do it then refusing to change is asking for the chop. Lose the next 2 and he's out anyway. As much as I respect your opinion, there won't be a debate by then I don't think!

Dinnington?
